[Denied] Require pricing within OSRS/RS3 Skill/Quest/Minigame threads

Because I make threads to price gauge and cross reference service providers. I got quoted 180m from someone who commented on this thread for something that was done by another reputable service, trusted with many vouches who i'd say is on par with them for 40m.

Prices fluctuate just like any market.
All about supply and demand (basic economics)
If a service provider is exceedingly busy like they may be now due to the increase in average time spent online worldwide there is no reason to tell someone how to run their business and how they advertise it.

My logic? That's plainly false advertisement. I said almost anything.

 

I think if someone posts a thread requesting quotes, people shouldn't be able to reply and say, "Oh join my Discord for a quote!" because that's not helping. If X user was wanting to get a quote via Discord, which can take several, several hours (from what I've seen in many Discord servers), they would have joined. People make threads asking for quotes to see. Saying to join when explicitly asked for a quote doesn't really make sense. I was looking for a Pest Control service and joined many who claim to be "cheapest" while charging more than any others then when I say I was going to look elsewhere (just because it was out of my budget) I got talked down to.

I don't think people should be allowed to just say, "Join my Discord!" and not leave a quote when asked. So example:

To me, if someone asks for a quote specificially, and a user\provider only posts a link to their Discord, it's a bit spammy. It doesn't help the user at all. Just my opinion, of course, but I'd like to see something implemented where if a user asks specifically for a quote and they only get Discord links, something should be done. If a User only says something about what they want and don't mention no links, fair game. I saw plenty say prices vary, and fair point, but even then. It does get kind of frustrating from an outside eye on that - having to join Discords just to see prices and all that.

No support, there is way too many ways of training and too many variables to force everyone to put prices in their threads.

No support. It is a free market. I didn't read through the entire thread but I am sure that's been stated.

 

Disagree, prices can change with fluctuations of gp and depends on the particular build of your account, plenty of servers out there you can join and just create a ticket asking for a quote, note that cheapest may not always mean the best. Would create so much extra effort for service providers to keep prices updated with fluctuations etc, doesn't take long to find out for yourself.

 

every account is different yes i agree with that so some methods will be different but or some skills where its the same method no matter the combat level etc they should add prices to those

 

No support for this one. There are just too many situational factors that services use to calculate their prices and it really isn't just the levels (budget, gear, ironman/not etc.). I also don't agree with services advertising "cheapest" though.

 

I totally agree. "Join our discord for the cheapest price" Or not? Just give me a price on 1300 PC points, I don't want to join your server, so it looks full!
