    When you die, you cease to exist. I wouldn't consider myself an existentialist, but this absurdist philosophy really does seem like the most logically legitimate answer to me.

    No one has proved or even has the ability to prove what happens after death. I can only state what my opinion on the matter is.

    And my opinion on the matter is that nothing happens. Life itself is entirely explainable on biological terms, electrical and chemical signals, and what comes when these things end is most likely nothing.

    If this depresses you, consider Mark Twain's statement on the matter. We've already been dead for billions of years, should we be glad to have had the opportunity to live or sad to return to what has been the majority of our material existence?

    Honestly, come to think of it, you just cease to exist. It's not like you see nothingness, as you cannot see anything. You just, are gone.

    The energy that makes YOU you dissipates back into the pool of energies that make up the universe.

    I have seen no evidence to make me believe that I will do anything but rot in the ground once i die.

    It's nice to believe that you will be born again or go to some sweet place surrounded by clouds, but I think it's all bullshit to be honest.

    I see the concept in a different light;

    I believe that when we die, we, in a sense, become 'God'. In that, we become nothing. We rest at infinite peace and infinite balance.

    I believe that this state is, not conscious, however subjectively 'detectable', in that our universe doesn't 'not exist'. Though the concept is a paradox and flaw in itself, the logic of the concept is that if the universe did not exist, the after of death would simply be 'nothing'.

    This after life is 'nothing', however, it is a nothing that can be reflect-able (as we see the element that is 'space', without actually seeing it), and detectable (we exist).

    Reincarnation with complete amnesia of this life. Time and space are both infinite, so deja vu is just time repeating iself for a slight amount of time. It's when what was, and what is, are one.
    Space is infinite... just there isn't matter in all of its areas.
    Time is an illusion... there is no beginning, or end, only points in reality.
    Something can't come from nothing.
    o_O

    My opinion at least. I could go on for hours on end with this subject.

    Maybe we aren't alone in the universe. If this is true, why should reincarnation be limited to a planet?
