Well he made a report, so I am guessing he wants it back now. As I said before, you can't withhold payment to someone because they're going to buy something you don't approve of.

Say I buy a car off of a person and I find out after one payment they're using the money to buy tobacco or something. I can't stop paying them because I don't agree with them buying those things. I have contractually obligated myself you pay on the times specified in the contract or a reasonable amount of time. If Dave truly owes the money for as long as he has then there is NO way that hasn't broke the reasonable time rule.

We have to be fair here, best interest are irrelevant when you have an agreement.
I have to say that there are mitigating circumstances here which do go beyond the 'I don't like what your buying' thing.

As to your analogy, you have to remember, what happened was the equivalent of stui saying 'hey man, can you hold my money for a bit'. It wasn't an agreement to purchase x for $y. It was a friend asking for a favour.

If it's worth anything, I probably would have done something similar in Dave's situation, with respect to being apprehensive about giving the money back. All I can say is that I do hope he posts his side of the story, and I guarantee you guys will be more sympathetic to the way he acted.

dude stfu its no1's right to refuse to give people their money back. There was a agreement and Dave refused to pay stui end of the story. Dave can blaim it on gambling and w.e else he wants. doesnt matter it was stui;s and dave refused to pay him the agreed amount. Ban the ------------ or atleast demote him ill let u fill the blanks.

dave should be banned from the market till this is settled he is a threat to the community. Stop worrying about him making money and start worrying about the community you suppossedly care so much about...
You really are a bellend. Dave did it with stui's best interests in his mind. How would you like to pay someone back who had intentions of never getting unbanned from sythe, and spending his money on HF goods. He could have taken dave's internet out if he wanted with it, so why would he give him the chance. If I owed someone $300 and they said they want it to buy illegal goods I'd tell them to clear their head and go fuck themselves. If you do that then you are an accessory to whatever they do by providing them funds, I'd rather not get tangled up than get tangled up whatsoever. However, dave should pay him back eventually, just his reasons for not doing so before are just.
This. His actions are justified, but i do want the remaining payment given someday, as for when is on stui
Just to back this up and make hattez look even more retarded.

Deleted the poll off of this thread considering only one side of the story has been heard, therefore logically this poll cannot skew public opinion any longer.

Anyways I have seen Dave's side of the story and would encourage him to post it.

Yeah, the poll was kind of a bad idea, it only represented whether he should be paid back eventually or not. Ultimately it's up to dave to whether or not he posts it, but I'll link him to this on skype when he gets online.

True, but it is still his money and he (Dave) is obligated to pay back when he came calling. It may be for someone's best interest but you can't just nut up and tell them they can't have what is rightfully theirs. It'd be nice to see Dave's side so we can see what his point is, but I still stand by my opinion. It wasn't his money, it should have been given back when asked the first time.

Dave cannot take his money and say its best for him..

Yo, did anyone at all besides myself read my post?

Deciding someone's best interest (Especially when they are no longer a Sythe member) is not only foolish, but also holds no water in an agreement like this. And not to be mean but anyone that doesn't understand that is an airhead that hasn't ever dealt with a "Bad egg" like Stui before...

Dave is a smart guy and I have faith that he's going to handle this correctly but you people posting on here need to wise up and learn from this and please never, EVER do anything like this no matter how good to someone's interest it may seem...

"I was sitting in my room.
My Mom and my Dad came in.
So they pull up a chair and they sat down.
They go, "Mike, we need to talk to you."
And I go, "Okay, what's the matter?"
They go, "Me and your Mom,
We've been noticing lately you've been having a lot of problems,
And you've been going off for no reason.
And we're afraid you're gonna hurt somebody,
We're afraid you're gonna hurt yourself.
So we decided that it would be in your best interest
If we put you somewhere
Where you could get the help that you need."
And I go, "Wait! What are ya talking about?!
We decided?!
My best interest?!
How can you say what my best interest is!
And what are ya trying ta say, I'm crazy?!
How do you know what my best interest is!
When I went to your schools!
I went to your churches!
I went to your institutional learning facilities!
So how can ya say I'm crazy?!"

This. Floyd, you never fail.

By now Dave could have come up with 100 reasons why he didn't pay back Stui's money back on time. From what I read, it was never discussed WHY the money wasn't paid back on time. I think Dave was expecting the situation to fade away, and not have to pay for any of the money back. Except it backfired on him, and at his peak moment on Sythe. I don't think Dave should be banned from Sythe because he's showed he can be trusted with a lot more than this. If however there was other people banned for the SAME thing, you have no choice but to ban him or unban the other users.

So I've been waiting a while to post this, however early this morning I told a few friends of mine that tonight I would get on Skype and talk to Stui as friends, and we would handle the situation and have everything handled by tonight. Now that everything is settled between the two of us, I'm happy to publicly show some of the "story" that wasn't told. Also, Stui has not only seen this post, but he's confirmed the contents and has given me full consent to post anything that's in this post. Also, Stui and I are friends again for anyone who gives half of a damn. Let me also state here than from speaking to Stui right now via skype (we're actually in a call) that It's come to my attention that he did indeed pay his mother money. Stui has also received a bit more money, simply because he informed me that he actually does need a bit of money right now, and that he isn't going to use it on anything malicious and has promised me to stay away from things such as booters and RATs.

I'll try to keep this short, but it won't work out lol. Let me start by saying that for those of you who know me well, you know that I'm big on friendship, and when a friend of mine needs me I'm there to help out. Stui and I were very close friends for a very long time. He and I, along with others, would sit in Skype calls for hours on end just hanging out and I could have easily called him one of my best friends over the internet. As shown in the reports made by Stui, as far as documented confirmation goes, I've paid him less than what I theoretically owe him.

Stui and I were friends, we say in Skype calls for hours on end, and we used to gamble on RS while in these calls along with users such as Semper and Jake. This could have just been my own stupidity but I never went ahead to confirm all the amounts of money I ever paid Stui, It was a friend giving a friend money, what's the use to confirm amounts, right? Yeah, well silly me, but there's a lot that people don't know about Stui. After his ban here on Sythe, he became depressed and a bit of a Staking addict on RS. Money became a huge issue to him and at one point he tried to kill himself due to just being upset with the way his life was. Knowing this, I wasn't going to be the one who allowed Stui to throw away his life over things like RuneScape gambling and such. I paid the money to Stui slowly, and went staking with him, all in fun of course. He turned 100M into 1.5b one night, only do risk it all at once and lose it, then to come ask me for more. At this point, It was very clear to me that Stui had absolutely no control over anything he did with this money. Keep in mind he had claimed to me that debt collectors had come to Stui's mother requesting the money be paid for the paypal debt. I was all up for giving Stui's mother the money, however nothing I gave to Stui went to his mother. Instead he began to just buy more gold to stake with and began spending the money on things such as booters and crypters off Hackforums.

Stui was still one of my best friends at this time, and I still wanted him to pardon on Sythe and had hopes that he'd someday return to the site. However things just kept getting worse and worse... He'd get on daily to ask me to borrow $10 or $15 to buy more booter hits to DDoS people for fun. Myself, n4n0, and even Sythe.org were just some of the people he tried to use his booter on. Stui was trashing his money, and as a friend who had known about how unstable Stui was as a person, I wasn't about to let my friend fall into another suicidal hole... Let me note here, that anytime Stui asked for money to do something productive such as purchase a Xbox Name Checker from Blupig or to train skills on RS, I'd happily give him money, and did on numerous occasions. However he continued to ask me for $20 to buy a RAT off hackforums and at one point even linked me to his youtube where he posted videos that included RATs in the download links posted in the description of the video.

One night after not hearing from Stui for over a month due to his being at his Grandmother's house without internet, he gets online and tells me that he's had a bad day and he's pissed of and that he wants all of his money. He tells me I've paid him 200M of what I owe and I owe another X amount to cover the full amount of the $530. After a bit of talking, he told me to pay him 50M and a $50 iTunes giftcard. I paid him $9 to go buy RSGP with in order to play around on RS. He then began to get hostile, "pay me the $530 or im reporting you and getting you banned from sythe."

Also through these conversations, he finally told me that I owe him another $50 and we'd call it all off, completely even. Bear in mind neither of us kept a legitimate track of what had been paid, however I personally believe it was more than the half of the $530 but again I didn't care because he was my very close friend before things headed south. Everything shown in the reports is from this point on, where I pay him the $50 and the drama begins about how I owe him more.

What was never disclosed to the public/never really stated by me was that I did indeed pay him half if not more than half of the amount. Also, people don't seem to know that I was his friend trying to help him manage his money and his life in a better fashion, especially after knowing what he was capable of if the stress got too far into his head. I'm not saying the way I handled this situation was at all correct, however I want you all to know why I did what I did. Stui was my friend, and I was trying to watch his back like I believe any other friend would do. I'm sorry if my being irresponsible with this situation has any of you looking down at me from this point on, but I thought you guys should at least know why I handled everything the way I did.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and to the guys who jumped to conclusions thinking I was stealing from Stui and holding money from him because I'm an asshole... take this as future reference in life to not make assumptions when you aren't fully aware of what's going on in a situation.

Sorry for any trouble and drama I've caused, I hope this brings a close to this entire situation.

Gotta respect the time you spent writing that essay. You get the A? Just kidding, I normally stay neutral on these matters as I'm relatively new the site, but I think that you handled the matter, and its aftermath maturely, even if the benefit of hindsight would possibly have led to you changing some of your decisions. You admitting you may have made some poor decisions show some real character, and I've gotta respect that. Just my two cents.

It's great to hear that you and Stui worked things out and are friends again. Kudos

Going to close this now, the matter has been resolved and I don't think there's any need for further discussion on the matter. If anyone would like to discuss anything about this with me or firmly believes this should be left open, shoot me a PM.
