My bad, thought you were talking about the event itself. After the event had finished last time, PR and Technical Core came in a clash which resulted in literally nothing being done to the server. You might remember it. I kept bugging you to let me take control over it instead of Grave, but you let Grave keep the control and the dead server was the result...

 

@Sneaky Fish5 is the above something you are capable of doing? If you cant do it, do you know any good, serious and capable TC member who could do this (so not Grave or Colts for example)?

 

I can figure out how to setup the server as I do have experience with it, but on windows not Linux. I'm all for doing this again and will make it my personal goal, but was it actually that popular?

 

It wasnt popular because it was done the wrong way. With proper preparation beforehand (creating content on the server, etc) and continious support after the event (competitions in-game, etc) it has, in my opinion, a high chance of getting popular pretty easy.

Last time the event just appeared one day without any prior marketing. So a hand full of Sythe members joined the event, I think most of them thought the event was great fun. Then during and after the event there was literally nothing being done on the server to try and make it active. Which resulted in a dead server as soon as the event ended. Already made a plan of approach kind of thing when I still was in the PR. Must have still got it somewhere.

After talking with sythe, prob not. I'd need a TC member who understands Linux to do it.

CDT is kicking major ass! Over the trillions of forums and communities i've been a part of, i've never seen something like this. Extremely well made weekly events, prizes + so much more. Blows my mind how advanced Sythe is and how advanced this team is compared to everywhere else.

 

When I have been tagging @BlackBlasses for a few days with the same question now and no answer but Stream gets a like in no time...

 

What questions did you need answered? I may be able to help. If it's anything related to the sythe minecraft server, it's very likely not happening due to lack of interest.

Can you post the current rankings in regards to points gained from the weekly events?

 

Ah, I'm not sure we were wanting to release that as we don't want to discourage anyone from participating! We love to get as many members as possible to enter in every weekly event! You can wait until the end of the year when the weekly events are finished and results will be posted.

 

Could swear there was a post of Blackblasses saying that he would release the scores a couple of events ago, couldnt find it. Did find this comment though:

He is now the leader, so I am sure Blackblasses will make it public.

Alright another suggestion from me, after @Zavada gave his feedback about the Pixelmon idea which were fair enough.

What about a PokeMMO event. Your first reaction might be "lol why", but there are actually multiple decent reasons to make an event in PokeMMO.

1. First of all, PokeMMO is free and easily accessible by anyone. With the Pixelmon event we had a bit of trouble as not everyone had a Minecraft account, which made a barrier for people to actually participate in the event. With the Pixelmon server we also had trouble with setting it up as there were bugs and stuff like that, which ment someone from the TC had to sacrifice their time to keep the Pixelmon server playable.

2. The www.sythe.org website actually already has some minor activity in regards to PokeMMO blackmarket trade. When combining this event with public relations activity I think there is a real possibility to make both a good event and get the specific market more active.

3. The interest in Pokemon has grown on Sythe lately. This would be a good time to do a Pokemon related event.
