I don't know if .. or what?

You do realise the community has to vote too? That's an additional week on top of the slow people voting in cdt or staff or whoever it is? Which means and obviously further delay in rewards.

On top of the fact that results are not out, even though it was supposed to be out... how long ago? There isn't a Feb monthly yet? Apparently there may not be any Easter events - cos of lack of sponsorship?

What is actually happening? Are people busy irl because I swear half the community is in the CDT?

Yankiee leaves and everything stops? What's the hold up? Only things going down are the weeklies and sotm. And I swear Matt is holding up the sotm?

Can we have some clarification... I'm trying not to care about the delay, but really? I didn't waste my time to only be told I didn't win a month later.

[CDT] Weekly Event #11 - Sythe 2048 [AMAZING PRIZES]

Prizes aren't given out? Minirank not even in directory. Klucious would like to know considering it's been a month apparently.

 

we arent in charge of handing out sythe gold and miniranks[or getting the added to the database] as you should already know. so its really out of our hands. sorry for the wait :/

 

only thing im concerned about is when i get my pokeball XD

 

I'm not a fan that we're already repeating a game for the weekly events only a few months in. You guys should make a list of games you can use in advance so you're never in the situation where it's a few days into the week and you still don't have a game.


Edit: If you want to repeat a popular game, have a community poll in advance where people can vote for the game they most want to see repeated instead of doing it randomly

 

Not sure if you guys missed it or if its still waiting for Sythe/Matthew to process it but the old saint patricks miniranks havent been given to the winners of this event yet:

I'll keep that in mind, thought this was a game people liked but shouldn't be assuming like that. Thanks for the constructive criticism

The current way points are being handled is:

While the points not being transferable is fine, I think the way points are being disregarded after a year isnt benificial for the activity of SOTM from the 7th to the 12th month. People could think: "Well, not a high change for me to get the 6 points needed for a minirank of my choice anymore. Not going to bother". The closer to the end of the year the less people would enter as it is no use unless you are still able to rack up enough points.

My suggestion is to not make a year that has effect over everyone. Make a year that starts the count for individual members at the time they entered in the first SOTM. So if I were to join today, my year would start 08-05-2017 and would expire at 08-05-2018. This would give more people a reason to join in on a SOTM whenever they want and the point system then gives them insentive to keep entering for at least another 6 months.

As you can see the numbers were doing fine up untill #7. I assume people went for 6 points in the first half of the year, with some people missing 1 month, and after they managed to get the prize they skipped out on the second half of the year. Of course there are other factors (prizes, time of the year, other events which collaborate with the SOTM), but I think changing the year from a collective to an individual time might change the SOTM for the better. Besides, I dont think it is that hard to document and it isnt that drastic a change in my opinion.

 

I know where you're coming from, but doing this would mean we have to keep SOTM the way it is now, forever. Every year, we want to change it up a bit - Doing the same thing over and over would kill SOTM. Who knows, maybe next year the value of the points are going to change, or we won't be dealing with them anymore. Since we want to change how it works every year, that system will not work.

Hello guys,

A suggestion for an event I have. Over the last few weeks I have experienced a growing interest under the community in re-doing the following event. Besides the interest of other people in re-doing that event, I myself have experienced that event as being the most fun event thus far.

For the people that arent familiar with the previous event. It was a pretty good event where you had to capture Pokemons and train them to get the miniranks. The event as a whole was fine but a couple of things could have been done better, mostly in regards to the preparation phase. As I arguably was the person which was most active during the last Pixelmon event and therefor have quite a bit of experience in handling the event (was both the PR Leader and an Admin on the Pixelmon server at that time) I am willing to help the CDT set it up if necessary.

 

I'm fairly certain our minecraft server was taken down, as the section for it was deleted and idk how to access it. I do have a fair bit of knowledge of minecraft (no memes plox ) so I could set this this up, but I'd need a server.

As for the members thing, I'll get that sorted today. Thanks for pointing it out.

Like 10 people without any marketing being done on it. Like I said, bad preparation last time.
