Bump Button and Early Bumping

Didn't even know we had a bump button. Nice update nonetheless.

 

The current cost is a reflection of the amount of sythe gold currently in circulation. Over time expect the cost to stabilize to a reasonable amount with future sinks.

As of now, it's not worth paying $8 to bump your thread 2 hours earlier. The only purpose of using this feature consistently is to get 4 bumps in 24 hours rather than 3, and to do so you must pay $32 to even achieve that feat once (assuming sg is bought). Since the cost is scaled based on the amount of sg in circulation, it will go down eventually as more sinks are introduced.

 

@Matthew The option isn't available in the suggestion forum. Why isn't it site-wide?

 

Great incentive for Sythe gold, and it's a pretty unique feature. All concerns I had were answered previously by other users, but don't you think it should cost less Sythe Gold. It's great to create more features on Sythe to be able to use the gold, but that seems like too much personally.

 

Would it be possible to have auto-bump for sythe gold some day in the future?

 

6 hours seems like a good amount, allows for an extra bump per day, perhaps a 4 hour option could also be implemented but for a higher price.

 

Finally some utilisation for the sythe gold; be interesting to see if the cost of the early bumps affects the market price of sythe gold at all.

Edit: may also be a time to crack down on individuals abusing the current 8 hour limits within the market and handing out more infractions than just deleting the post?

But for real, this post count whoring has to stop, you can't let people increase their post count with short/spammy posts like ''online and selling'', ''swapping'', ''online'' and they continue and you find same posts over and over and over. Not only such threads do not look good, but they also give you a fake impression that they are popular and it is not fair for the people who increased their post count legitimately.

 

I used powerbot when there was bump button and then it was completely removed (posting wasnt allowed after bump)
Amount of customers doubled if not even tripled from powerbot with same frequency of bumps, in my opinion posting is better for market, it wouldnt be fair for new users too as they would never reach more reputable service providers in postcount which somehow is attractive for newcomers

 

Your opinion is biased because you are active in market sub-forums.
It is not fair when you are not a big gold shop owner or something like that and you can't collect that many posts.

The mindset at current of intervening at every corner needs to stop.

We aren't here to babysit ever user, and ensure their trade goes smoothly.

The burden rests upon said user(s) to investigate/research prior to entering any trade.

The ideal position Sythe.org should aim to/hope to reach, is one that is autonomous in nature, with extremely minimal, if not zero market intervention.

 

Wtf are you talking about mate? This has nothing to do with a trade. It is about using a BUMP button and not posting shit-spam-same posts. In my provided example I showed a guy who has a 13k post count and most of it is from this. If this is allowed, then someone could easily create multiple threads and post-bump them with bots/manually and keep collecting free posts.
