Bots Being Killed!

Lol, they might be crap, but they aren't kids. I think they are serious this time, i have a feeling a lot of accounts will be banned for botting soon. They needed to at least scare the botters months back, i'm sure, even if they aren't admitting it that some botters are a bit scared.

 

It wouldn't get that bad, and items should go up, i mean 4M for a bandos godsword....that's too low.

 

It's not like frost dragons are the only gp farmed thing. They were almost impossible to bot before this update anyways. Every world was packed and the ban rate was really high. This clears alot of bots, but it's not like their patching a perfect method.

 

Runescape became Easyscape, and now it's Botscape. It would be annoying if everything gets expensive again and you'd have to gather a lot of money just to get a few XP... But that's how i liked RS few years ago.

Runescape right now is like a pserver.

 

BGS has nothing to do with frost dragon bones, I mean is there even Bandos Bot because that is what you would need to drop the prices of a BGS significantly. What needs to be done is the removal of gold from the economy.

 

No matter what they do, there will always be a way to bot. Ban people at range guild, go to soul wars. Ban people doing gatestones, go alch. There will always be some different way of doing everything on rs with bots. Their obviously only focusing on certain things at the moment, so just go find those other methods and you'll be straight.

 

Agreed about the removal of gold, maybe their best bet would be to add another money costly skill?

 

A new skill would do the trick that requires a lot of cash.

 

On the topic of botting/banning... do you not think that all the 24/7ers ruin it? I mean... if they just examine a few accounts that are on 24/7 for a few days and discover what mistakes/patterns a bot follows, what anti-bans it has etc. etc that they could use the 24/7 bots as a guide as to what pattern a bot follows and therefore use this information to improve their 'internal methods' of finding bots.

It sort of does make sense, i know what your saying, i don't think Jagex were bothered up till now.

 

I don't get why Jagex don't download bots and use them to understand how they work; it would be much easier.

I think they do might, i just think it's hard to come up with a long term solution to stop bots.

 

True, it would require a lot of time to examine each scripts.
But the technology will get more and more advanced (like RiD) and people will always find new ways to bot and take advantage of the game.

 

Honestly, it doesn't matter; this update will bring the bots down for awhile, but I'm sure the FDK bots will just be updated. Same case for ALL anti-botting reforms put in play by Jagex. As they evolve, so do the bots. The games dying, all games die.

 

This is true, I got killed fighting Moss Giants, usually my bot stops when I'm out of food.

 

Well if Jagex do sue botting creators such as rsbots then it could kill botting.

 

I give it 24 hours, bots will update. Always have and always will.
If you think about it; jagex spends alot of resources running the game and only a portion of such goes toward combating RWT/botting, whereas the bot makers are able to concentrate on just simply making the bots and correcting what jagex "fixes."

 

Well, I hope Jagex do get bot creators closed down.
