Well last night, I had gone to see Avenged Sevenfold live, I had booked tickets with my ex-girlfriend and her brother, and my Older cousin. I hadn't really been talking to her properly, but I had still chosen to go with her to the gig.

The gig was great, we were talking there and on the way back, and It seemed it was just going to be a just a normal gig with a friend, until she told me she still loves me, and misses me, I didn't know what to do. it was just after the gig, I was on a slight adrenaline rush and we ended up kissing.. And i regret it.

I don't want to be with her anymore, she was too clingy and caused problems with my friends.. as In i lost some because she demanded so much from me, yea.. we had good times, and the sex was good, But I can't go into another relationship like that.

I'm unsure how to tell her, she's been texting me all morning and I'm worried that she wants us to get back together, thinking about it, Im sure my body language last night made it look like too..

So basically, I'm asking your advice on how to let her down gently.. again, I really like her as a friend and I don't want to destroy our friendship, but im seeing no alternative.. I feel like such an asshole.

Thanks for reading.

Eh, well you shouldn't have kissed her in the first place..but then again, sometmes it just happens without really noticing it. Anyhow, you should meet up with her in person and say it as it is. Let her know the kiss was a mistake, and it happened in the heat of the moment; apologize to her, and just hope this doesn't effect your friendship. Hopefully it works out for you.

You should just tell her how you feel. If she tries to get back with you by convincing you that things will be better if you give her another chance, don't fall for it.

That's pretty much wat I had to say.

If you still like her and it's just because she is clingy that you do not want to be with her, then I would say get with her but be very strict and say "listen I have lost friends because of you, I like you but I also like my friends, if my friends invite me out I am not going to let you decide if I go or not, I control my life, not you."

If she takes that nicely, well she actually want to changfe for you. If she is an idiot about it simply tell her you do not want to see her again.

Edit: i know that's the opposite of what Verts had to say even after me agreeing with him, but I think it could work.

She's really sensitive about relationships so I think its going to end badly.. And thanks for the reply.

She did exactly this when we broke up, she was almost begging, but the next week she seemed fine, the only thing I hear is that she talks about me alot to her friends and that sometimes she has odd Facebook statuses which clearly are about me.

And i understand that i should just tell her, but I don't want to hurt her again, in a way she hasn't done anything wrong, its just me being how I am.. I de-sensitise myself.

I don't want to be with her, as I have interests in an other girl, but I understand what you're saying.. I just hope this isnt an option I would have to do.

P.S, Verts is female.

Update
Been texting her all night, she says "love you xxxx" like every 2-3 texts and shes wanting to meet up and go for a coffee, Im just accepting it, because I may be able to let her down gently.

Honestly, you need to tell her that youv'e moved on & your not losing any more of your friends over her, also, you can tell her that your not trying to really 'Date' any girl currently.

If she still wants you, tell her you have Herpes.

Goodluck

Verts is right. She thinks that you still like her the way she likes you and you got to make it clear that it's not the case and that what happened was just a mistake. Yes, a big mistake, but still, just a mistake. If you don't make this clear she will keep thinking you love her back, when it's not true.

Good luck ;)
