I do disagree. Hitler played a largely passive role in the Nazi system which effectively built itself up around him after 1933, while he, a lunatic, spent much of his time in his holiday homes watching films like Bambi. He failed to get into art college, he spent years on the streets, he held irrational and twisted beliefs which in effect led to the Holocaust itself. He failed at the Munich Putsch and showed lack of judgment. The weakness of the Weimar democracy had more to do with Hitler's rise to power than his "genius". All that can be said is that he was a charismatic ranter.
Yet, someway, somehow, he managed to kill eleven million people, overthrow an entire island, at the time, in less than twenty minutes, and do all of this while watching movies at home like bambi.
No, trust me, you're right. -.-
