Neither. Xbox 360's only hype is Halo 3, really. And Halo 3 is only "good" (as the majority say, but not me) for the multiplayer. Me having played the Halo 3 multiplayer, I found it no different than Halo 2 or even Halo 1! Personally I don't feel like forking out another $600 for the same hype, but I guess its your choice.
PS3 isn't much more capable than the Xbox, either. Sure, the graphics are amped up, but what the fuck, who cares? Would you play a game with excellent graphics, even if it had no point or story to it (Discluding deathmatch games such as CS and HLDM of course)? I most certainly would not. I only ever liked the PS2 for Devil May Cry anyway.
PS3 would have been a lot cheaper and better if Sony didn't try to fill it up with useless items such as Blu-Ray and Media Center. My PC works fine as a media center, and nobody really needs blu-ray, unless you are EXTREMELY picky about the video quality. I also use my PC for things such as internet browsing, so yet another useless feature Sony has managed to add. Had Sony left out all of the expensive shit that nobody needed or even used most of the time, it would have been priced at around $500-700, rather than the oh-so-expensive $1000+. I am of course speaking in AUD.
You forgot my pick of the bunch, that is if I had to choose a console, which I dislike seeing as my PC is better value for money anyway. The Nintendo Wii is the cheapest and best, purely because Nintendo actually focuses on making things fun, rather than buffing it with graphics, or useless items. Nintendo has always been the best console supplier. Period. It has most of the hand-held gaming world, and the Nintendo 64 was indeed my favorite classic console of all time. The Nintendo Wii gives you the ability to buy and download N64 games, which I absolutely LOVED, and it has many of the best titles ever to be released, such as Legend of Zelda, and Mario Party (Yes, I like this game. If you don't, then keep your thoughts to yourself).
Nothing beats the simplicity of the average PC though. I have everything I want on my computer, so I don't see the need to have any console, even though I have an N64 and an Xbox 1.
Thats just my oppinion, flame me for it, I don't care. Think about it before you try to disprove me as well, because whats it going to prove? I'm still going to think the way I do.

Most people find SOME of PS3's features useless but i for one, use ALL of them. So i don't find any useless. I feel they are catering for the future with BluRay, next year TV shows are gonna be broadcasted in 1080P which means that BluRay dvd's are most likely gonna become pretty big then. Who uses videos these days? Can you even buy them anymore? Let's say the same thing happens to normal dvds, well that screws over xbox, hey, ps3 is doing great though. I know it probably wouldn't happen in the life span of the ps3. BUT BluRay dvds WILL become a lot popular during the life span of the PS3, just the normal dvd's won't be wiped out.
Did I say anything about videos? I just said that Blu-ray is completely useless when you can get flash-memory and DVDs anyway. Only difference is Blu-ray is bound to cost more and hence waste the consumer money. Sure PS3 costs less than a Blu-Ray player, but that just goes to show that Sony produces products at about $200, and sells em for $2000 extra. I don't like supporting companies that think they can rip people off.

Me being an impatient person, it would take less time to boot up my laptop - which though its 2 years old and aging, is a shitload more useful than a PS3 will ever be for me.
I find it thoroughly impossible and/or stupid to be able to use all of the features on a console apart from the bit where you actually play games. Music, Videos, etc, I can access a lot faster using my laptop yet again. It may have a small screen, but that definitely doesn't stop me from connecting it to the 50in plasma TV. Easier access and more space for what I want most. I guess Sony tried, but its never going to be as good as a company such as Nintendo. Nintendo is indeed smaller than Sony, but they are the best quality you could ask for. And they actually DONT try to rip the consumers off, they simply make an average profit.
I find the lack of originality in Sony and Microsoft's products slightly annoying. Zune only slightly resembles an iPod ... (sarcasm, it does a lot), PlayStation's controller has been the same since I first used a Sony product so many years ago. Microsoft's Xbox controller is completely the same except they waste even more money by using wireless. Meaning - batteries, such a hassle. Cords don't take too much room since I can remember.
At least Nintendo did good with their controlling system. And at least the console is lightweight. I don't like the big fat mutherfuckers taking up all the room in my loungeroom. I find it strange how Sony used the glossy look too, seeing as it looks like complete shit (no joke, I'm looking for a decent skin for Vista as we speak >_>).

Lol, I lover how everyone notes the fact that Halo 3 is the only game anyone knows about.... yea, it may be the biggest deal about the 360 currently but think about it, you know how much money they spent on getting exclusive content for GTA IV?. Secondly, there are tons of free Wifi, etc. Programs such as Xbox Connect, Xlink Kai, etc. Xbox live is everyone's choice, because it deserves to be the top Online Gaming Community. One of the reasons is the Xbox Live Marketplace, I find that a great place for people who have the time, patience, and money to download demos, movies, etc. That is one of the biggest reasons to Xbox 360's success. Also, everyone likes the PS3 for the blu-ray... some people only use it for a Blu-Ray DVD player and they dislike the gaming capabilities so they buy the PS3 because it is the cheapest blu-ray disc player out there. Also, PS3, as many games there are planned to be released soon, do you know the name of any of them? Seriously, some people will try to snap back at me with a game name by searching on the Internet for one, and I know. Again, whoever said Halo 3 is the only reason to get the Xbox 360, guess what? You ever think about Gears of War? How about RBV6 Vegas? Thats for the PS3, but more people play it on the Xbox 360! I have tons of people on my side as well! Wii The already outsold the PS3! And on E3, Wii and Xbox 360 were both rated higher than the PS3!
BTW another thing that I love is that some people say that UT beats Halo right out of the box. I'm pretty sure someone said something about it being older as well? Well, go ahead search for the game Marathon by bungie....

also may i add, the 360 elite, which comes with 120 GB of memory, is cheaper than the 60 GB from PS3

I still have yet to see anyone point out a single good PS3-exclusive game. I've managed to list 9 good 360 exclusives, and even if you say Arcade games don't count there are still 3, which is 3 more than 0.

Anyways, PS3 is overrated. Xbox is overpriced by about $200, and Wii has the better games. Period. Gears of War has a shit amount of gameplay. Tyson, I can think of many games without good gameplay. All of the racing games being a lot of them.
