Ok so last night my second cousin came over...hes like 6 years old but anyways he was screwing around like all 6 year olds do and my PS2 fell over now the dics thing where you put the cds in wont open so I was thinking about buying a PS3 but I was alost buying an Xbox 360 but i think its going to be a PS3 but i dont remember if you can go on the internet for free with sony but if you could tell me all the good things about the ps3 please thanks...

Free online play with PS3, more game choices in the future (xbox 360 has a lil' more now but it went out 1 year before PS3)

Some cool games like Heavenly Sword, SOCOM, etc.

Blu-ray.

Etc.
Anyway, go for PS3, I have xbox 360 and it doesn't rock really, especially since you need to pay for online.

awsome because the only game that i think is really good for 360 is halo but really like the gta series and its awsome i can play internet for free

i think that the xbox 360 is the best choice as many good games come out on it. yes ps3 has got better hardware in it but not by heaps..
and idk bout the online thing i think u got to pay some aditional fees for ps3 as well..

..i didnt really ask if you thought the 360 was better but thanks for the information?

Good things about PS3:
- Free online
- Backwards compatibility

I can't really think of anything else, so I'd suggest just getting another PS2, unless you're convinced that there will be great PS3 games in the future.

I'd go with the 360.

PS3 is uber expensive, and I doubt many of your friends have one, and although the online is free, free isn't always the best, right? XBOX Live is the best online ever. Period. And it only costs $50/yr. It's not THAT much, considering RS membership for 1 year costs more.

The PS3 does have some nice games, such as Resistence: Fall of Man, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Heavenly Sword was okay. IMO though, where are all the other games? I mean, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is also on the 360, Resident Evil 5 will be on the 360, and GTA IV will be on the 360 as well.

So, that's just my 2 cents. I'd get the 360 if I were you, as it has much better exclusive games (Halo 3, BioShock and soon-to-arrive games such as Mass Effect, Fable 2), but hey, it's your choice.

PS3 all the way. Xbox360 came out earlier and isn't as good. Xbox elite has nothing extra either. PS3 also has bluetooth that hasn't been mentioned yet.

i know that gta is going to be on xbox but ps3 has way better graphics and whats bluetooth?

Youre not allowed to diss the 360 and have an Assassin's Creed sig. Youre contradicting yourself.

PS3

killzone 2
final fantasy
kingdom hearts
metal gear solid 4
devil may cry
Resident Evil

Sure, ps3 may be expensive, but at least you are getting your MONEYS worth. Not only does ps3 loose money each system they sell, but since the games are 50 gig space each you can have games with lots of replay value, and with the ps3s hardrive saving system, shared console games such as GTA and oblivion always have a better edge on the ps3.

xbox360
well you got halo3, and i will admit, that is a far amazing game. If you think 360 has better games you have a fucked up mind.

get a ps3, its worth it

Bad things about PS3:
Grossly overpriced.
Overrated for the fact that its overpriced.
Filled with shit that nobody needs i.e. Blu-Ray (which is why it costs so much)
Excellent example of how Sony rips off the general consumer. Blu-Ray players can cost up to $5000, and PS3 costs $1000. Meaning hardware manufacturing costs are probably like $20. What a RIPOFF.
Internet on a gaming console? Are you fucking off yer nut? I use my PC for this thanks. Much easier as well.
Media Center? Ever heard of getting a cheap laptop and a TV extension cable?
Online play? PC, much?
Graphics? So what? I'm gonna go around a racing track 3 times. Big whoop.

Good points:
UT2007 - which is being released on PC anyway.

Wii:
bad points:
Slightly lesser graphics (but the gameplay more than compensates for this)
Risk of throwing your controller if you're too stupid to not wear the strap in the first place.
You can end up looking like an idiot, but who cares?

Good points:
Excellent gameplay COMBINED with decent graphics.
Unique and fun control system.
Holds the best video game title ever released apart from FF7: Legend of Zelda
has The ability to go online and buy ports of classic N64 games, such as Zelda: Majoras Mask and Paper Mario
small and compact, and the design doesn't look like someones used two tonnes of shoe-buff. Also means when you scratch the console its less noticable.
Underpriced when you consider most consoles upon release.
...
...

You get the picture.

Xbox is alright, but I wouldn't put one before a Wii.
PC is still the best platform for games.

Assassins Creed comes out for Xbox360, PS3 and PC you idiot so don't so i am contradicting myself unless you know the facts.

To answer your question on Bluetooth.
Xbox360 = No Bluetooth = Wireless Connection
Wireless: More interception
Controllers: Wireless, uses tons of battery
Headset: Plugs into controller, uses even more battery

PS3 = Bluetooth + Wireless
Bluetooth: Less interception
Controllers: Bluetooth, controllers talk to each other AS WELL as the console. Batteries last longer.
Headset: Bluetooths to playstation, no cables, no hassle.
Mouse: Bluetooth, no cords, no hassle
Keyboard: Bluetooth, no cords, no hassle

Also, GTA:IV. Xbox gets condensed version to fit on normal cd, PS3 gets full version because it goes on a bluray cd (more space).

I remember Final Fantasy and games of the like had grand totals of 6 CDs or more on the PS1. Didn't bother me. Don't know why people don't do it nowadays.

Wii has the most battery life, and Xboxs battery usage is just rediculous. Personally I'd just use a cord - if you can't manage what cables go where then theres really something wrong in your head somewhere.

I'd have nothing against the PS3 if it wasn't so damn overpriced for something that'd take maybe $150 to manufacture. Sony is just too damn greedy. Also, the games aren't the best, and the design is so damn stupid and annoying. How much do you need to polish a fucking game console? My PC case looks average, and it works fine, so whats the big deal?

Btw: GTA == Worst series of games I've ever seen. Halo comes second. I played San Andreas until about half-way through and thought: "Holy shit this game is so fucking dumb". GTA IV looks pretty much the same considering rockstar games. By looks I mean the concept lacks originality and lost my vote as soon as the idea came up for another game, its just been prettied up and given a different story. At least 'The Warriors' gave me a real feel about the street gangs of New York in the early 80s and late 70s, and it actually has a story worth following.

Xbox: 5/10.
PS3: 7/10.
Wii: 8/10.
PC: 9/10.
Real life: 10/10. Best graphics evar, and you make the storyline yourself. If theres anything better than this, I'd like to know about it.

True, but on your Final Fantasy cd comment. Most people find them annoying (i know it didn't bother you) and the companies are trying to appeal to everyone.
