If they are locked up for life they still have a life. It might be a restricted one, but it's still a life they will get used to.

Killing the killer will bring peace of mind to the killed person's family and friends. Respect to the killed person's life will be shown. The fact that the killer is immobilized from any further crimes (including those committed in jail) is an added perk.

When you take someone's life you show no respect for the value of a human life, and therefore give up any right you had to one yourself.

So a legitimate reason to kill another human is for peace of mind. I don't trust Bush, he's a war criminal. Can I kill him for peace of mind?

Meaning a life sentence is not enough for what they've done, because they still get to live.

You'll need a just court to convict him first.

The death penalty is a quick and painless way of dieing, life inprisonment is a long drawn out punishment, almost obvious which one seems better.

The death penalty would deter people from commiting such crimes but again is someone is caught and wrongly charged then this really is the biggest mistake you could possibly ever make.

Life in prison really isnt that bad because of the prisons now, such comforts were unimaginable 50-60 years ago where if you went to jail it was utter hell, now you get TV, recreation, free food, excercise and more.

Bring back capital punishment,

The two things are quite different.

All that the death penalty accomplishes is a petty human sense of revenge. You can call it justice, you can say that they deserve it, etc., but this does not change the fact that you are killing them out of anger.

It's an old human emotion, one that doesn't really apply in society anymore.
 
The death sentence for people isnt for them. Only to show other people what happens to you when you commit horrible crime like this.

Some people say that some people dont deserve to die.

What if someone came into your house and raped your mom. Tortured and kill your Dad. Beat your brother and sister in front you to death. THey brutally killed you.

Do you think that that person would deserve to die?

No they wouldn't deserve to die because then they would never have another chance at fixing up their life.
 
Funny you say this, Pure luck a couple of my drinking friends went to a night club one night and at about 1am this guy was trashed and they saw if he was alright and he didn't respond so they gave him a bit of a shove and took off because he didn't respond. Next morning they pull them out of bed and take them to the lockup they blame them for killing this guy, they did 6 Years imprisonment until one of their girlfriends spent 80% of her time with lawyers etc sorting this out pretty good that they all didn't get detah penalty..

My friends got the blame for pushing a guy over a bridge onto a hard road, they got mistreated for 6Years and got no sorry or anything. The family of the young man that died want them locked up. On what proof? I went with them to see the people because we met up 30minutes before the incident happened so i told them it wasn't my friends and they rang the cops.. To be honest if you get no closure on a missing loved one please don't then blame another for there stupid fault. I mean i didn't know this guy but he wouldn't respond and why do they blame me and my friends for a murder when i was with them when he died.. To be honest i'm glad our law isn't as bad cause i could be in jail for assistance of murder. They had my work car and grabbed tire levers to drop off and then some bloke threw rocks at my car they ran up and found the man, shoved him left dropped off my car had a few beers and left. No longer they get home they get thrown into jail.

It's bad but good. Could you imagine how much time they poured into getting out. I helped pay for laptops so they could work this case.. If they hadn't of gotten out last year i wouldn't have the time for sythes.. So i think America needs to get rid of automatic weapons and the death penalty.. A lot less crime would happen. But thats just my view on the death penalty.. And a little story about my life..

You should be able to choose from the death penalty or life in prison, I'd rather just die then life in prison tbh.
 
I think when it all comes down to it, who are you to deserve who gets to live or not?

You did not bring that person into the world, why should be able to take them out of this world? Many people do believe in a higher being, as do I. In that case, who are you to assume the role of that higher being and decide who is worthy of living?

Yet, on the other hand. The term "life in prison" can be very misleading...

There is a difference between "life in prison" and "life in prison without parole"

"life in prison" could actually result in the convict to get out of jail if their behavior is excellent, etc. Also, the "life in prison" term can vary betwen states.

Now, "life in prison without payrole" is what you would think of as life in prison...You will spend the rest of your life in prison.

So, I really didn't present my view on it, I just presented some different arguements and facts...

Because they killed many people. You think eric and dylan, if they didn't commit suicide, would deserve to live?

They killed so many people, put family's through hell, probably caused suicides, shot innocent people....

They deserve to die.

This would be a major improvement if this was introduced into the prison system , most of these peoples choices would probably be bassed on what their religeon is.

I think i would rather have life in prison - with parole at like 20 years then to be killed, however if someone wanted to commit suicide they could just go to prison and get the death penalty.

So therefore the morals aren't right.

The death penalty should just be stopped Completely
 
Macroman let the murderers think what they want lol if you rape someone then get hung I doubt your go to heaven unless you repent awfull quick and most people who would rape,murder, etc there repent wouldnt be sincere so there have fun in hell, I think if you even commit Adultry you should be killed. I do think the electric chair and leathal injection is stupid cause it cost money, we should just lynch them.
