@Jiwi Not really 6-0 in the finals More mpv awards, and never been to a game 7. LBJ is good probably top 3 but I would still take Kobe and MJ over LBJ. Also Jiwi I don't hear any arguments against it. Just why it's not correct.

 

I mean this should sum up why you're wrong in using 6-0 as an argument:

I'm pretty sure nobody formed a super team to face Jordan like KD did with joining an ALREADY 73 win warrior team.

Maybe it's because I am old and I remember watching Jordan play. I don't expect everyone to understand because not everyone got to watch him play. But he just had a killer instinct like I have never seen before. @R5V

 

I'm not saying that he didn't. It's tough to dispute that MJ is the GOAT, but you can't just say it cause he went 6-0 in the finals, the competition was different then too. Again im not taking any credit away from MJ, I personally believe he is the GOAT, but that being said, many can argue with valid reasons why LBJ could come close/be considered the GOAT himself.

 

I have more reasoning then just that, that's just barely touching the surface. Like I said I will give LBJ top 3 but he hasn't done enough to get the number one spot for me personally. @R5V

 

I agree with you on him not being number one, that spot still belongs to MJ. I just don't know if you can fully argue Kobe being better than LBJ, that's a much tougher debate on who would be better there.

 

I can't stand that argument. Don't come to me with that ever again. Rings are all great, but did MJ have to go through 4+ olympic medalists, 2 MVPs, Defensive player of the year, 2 of the best 3 point shooters, etc. Like...... Don't give me the ring stat. It's the only thing pro-MJ fans have on LBJ.

LBJ came back 3-1 against the team w/ the best record of all time, the "dream team"....Well guess what, then they had to go get another MVP to try and beat him.

MJ is a legend, and I respect that, but when it's all said and done, LBJ is the king and always will be. His statistics are off the charts. The dude is pretty much averaging a TRIPLE DOUBLE IN THE FINALS AGAINST THE WARRIORS WHO HAVE 4 OLYMPIC MEDALISTS, 2 MVPS, DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR, 5 ALL STARS, 2 OF THE GREATEST SHOOTERS OF ALL TIME, ETC. WORTH THE MENTION TWICE IDGAF. LBJ IS KING.

 

Teams didn't have these super teams like we see now. Each NBA team has at least 2 solid players. Can you say the same thing back then?

Defenses weren't the same as they are now. Dudes are so much more daunting now with different schemes and matchups. MJ would have been entrapped a lot more.

The NBA added like 3-5 brand new teams when they expanded. Guarantee those teams were trash back then. Easy money for MJ.

MJ had to beat Magic one year....who else after that? Barkley? Stockton? Drexler? Give me a break lmao. That is a joke. You can't knock him for winning though, that is for certain.

MJ had to take time off after finals. Do you see LBJ doing that? Fuck no. The dude is a monster. He will keep playing in prime shape like it's no one else's business.

I am not saying Lebron isnt great @BartonsVodka I am just saying he isn't MJ yet, if he leads the Cavs back from a 3-0 what is now a 3-1 against one of the most stacked teams in NBA history then it can be relooked at like I said Lebron is great I just don't think he is the GOAT yet. I'm not trolling just my opinion that's what discussions are.​

As much as I want the Cavs to win in 7, Golden State's probably taking it in the next 2 games. The Cavs just aren't consistent enough against the Warrior's super team lol.
