SF was taken too far by a few people recently, mass bans and then assessment of each user individually is a good way to handle it.

Community involved much like Roary, especially with the Community Game night that you have been promoting recently.

I don't get why people are bashing you so much. You've put so much into this site and devoted so much time into it. For people to turn on you this easily and blatantly attack you is disrespectful to say the least. I'm sorry for that.

You're doing good, and although over the past few days there's been a shit ton of drama, you're still a good and reliable admin. Keep it up.

 

Yesterday I witnessed poor behavior control, entrepreneurial versatility and a lot of irresponsibility. I'm starting to feel like you're despotic. You create a problem and to resolve it you take the irrational route. I received a sf ban due to indirect statements. What is the point of posting in the sf forum if it's being policed based on who feels offended? I don't go there to cause trouble, it's for fun. Next time I'd like for you to take responsibility for your actions instead of dragging it along to everyone else. Tired of people feeling sorry for you when you were the initial cause of the problem. Expect me to challenge the ban later on. Good day.

 

Mind the RULES yes, they apply to you AND whoever you are dating/fucking/friends with and tone down the pompous attitude. I honestly think admin is too much power for a person like you but hey, its not my call. All i can say is you are bringing finn comparisons on yourself at this point and making sythe staff as a whole look like a joke. Its a damn shame.

Judge the guy on his actions over the course of his time on staff, not over 1 week of bullshit in the SF.

n4n0, don't resign over this, the outspoken minority who gave you hate (mostly SF regulars) don't outweigh the silent majority who are backing you.

 

I wish my recent SF thread hadn't been deleted, so I could quote a bit of it here. I'll do my best to paraphrase and add a bit more, though:

Ryan, I've always liked you, and only your recent trollbaiting lost you a bit of my respect. It's always been obvious to me that you care a lot about the community as a whole, and I would have liked to talk to you before you demoted yourself all of a sudden. I'm not sure what comes next, but I wish you the best, whether it's rejoining Sythe's mod squad or walking away for a while. Just try to keep your chin up and your head level.

 

I feel the same. It's absolutely disgusting because he's done so much for this site over the years. So many of the members who are currently trying to shoot n4n0 down and have him blamed for X, Y, and Z are the same users who have in the past gone around saying n4n0 is one of the only members on staff who truly gives a damn about this site.

It's honestly sad to see how some people have reacted to this situations.

 

Lack of responsibility. Being that he was an admin you would expect a high level of decency and good judgment. He didn't have to demote himself, I would have liked him to apologize for the trouble he brought that lead to the bans of a lot of members.

I don't think people quite appreciate the time Ryan has put in to this site. Throughout my time on staff he's always made sound decisions where necessary and some of them hard, but none of them any different from what anyone else would've done in his position. Had ANY of you been subject to what he has been, you'd have banned everyone who had any part of the ordeal as well. Think about it. Sure, he maybe provoked some of it with a few pixels and some retaliation - but there's a line and many people crossed it.

Ryan not being on staff is more of a detriment to the site than any staff member ever will be. This sucks.

I really hate to see where this went, N4n0. I realize that N4n0 made mistakes and using his powers when things of interest were involved should always be a complete no-no. I really don't think you should retire, a simple apology for your original actions would be appropriate on your part.

Instead of backing out I'd love to see you make a return and fix the selected problems instead of just avoiding them. You are/were a huge aspect to Sythe's team.

 

Yeah n4n0 was a good staff member, but he also abused his powers. He also didn't take negative feedback professionally.

 

Incredibly saddened by the events of the past few days. Roary sums up my feelings pretty well. Seriously, I don't think you guys realize how valuable Rye is to the staff team, ESPECIALLY right now.

 

I thought about this at first as well, but have the people who got banned really earned an apology after the line they ended up crossing? Like I heard more fucked up shit some people decided to do with the pictures and it's way beyond crossing the line, there's just some stuff you don't do to a person...

Anyways gl n4n0, your gf was a bitch but you were generally a good guy who helped the site out a lot and it sucks to see what happened to you yesterday. I admit I did kind of find some of it funny and joked around with it a bit but you didn't deserve to have pictures like that leaked.

I can't blame n4n0 for not apologizing for his mistake because none of us would be willing to either if we went through the same thing he just did.

 

I think in terms of just to the community in general, not just in terms of those who were involved with everything else. There were other people frustrated with Trin's actions/gifts, etc who had nothing to do with recent events.

It's unfortunate it went as badly as it did.

 

Can someone please tell me if the sf bans will be reversed? Is a month ban from the sf for posting a picture of a hair growth product really appropriate?

Admitted she is his girlfriend and he'd obviously care for her more than anyone else on this site. I didn't like part where he gave her free stuff though. I really don't think he should have brought her to site, it was obvious she was going to get trolled and he was going to react to it.

He was a good staff member, but I didn't like his "fuck off" attitude at times.

Either way he's probably going to come back before long. Chances are he only did it to shut everyone up.

 

I may have made a negative comment yesterday on this thread but I was definitely not hoping for this. I made a serious thread in the sf regarding this exact situation.http://www.sythe.org/spam-forum/1654025-seriously-though.html. Really sad day to see this happen. No one deserved what happened to him yesterday and its unacceptable the way he was treated. He's a human being but we treated him like shit. Hopefully one day he'll return.
