Advanced Sythe usage tips

Prior to joining Sythe or right after please read and make sure you understand The Official Sythe.org Rules. The guide written below is mainly used for advanced Sythe users. When you're new here please refer to one of the below threads.

Sythe Discord server

• If you've recently had your Sythe name changed and it still doesn't properly show up on the Official Sythe Discord then write the command "!verify" in one of the Discord channels there to reverify your Sythe account and have it changed.
• When you're EX-STAFF, a $1000 or $500 donator you can do the above aswell to make the usergroups show up properly.

Namechanges

• Additionally, if you've had your namechanged then admins will change your usertitle to "Formerly known as X" or "Previously known as X". This remains there for 6 months, after that you can simply request a new usertitle.

Donations

• You can enable larger Sythe avatars once you've donated $25 to Sythe.
• A custom user title can be requested once you hit the $50 donator rank, this has to be plain text though. It can be made prettier once you're a $100 donator.
• Once you've donated $200 you can change your Sythe username into art, this can be requested here. Make sure to read the guidelines first.
• Donator ranks aswell as the amounts can be changed when you're a 300$ donator. Read more about this here.

Sythe search index

• The Sythe search function is a very powerful tool. In here you can look up Discord usernames, Skype usernames, email addresses or anything of this sort to find out if for example a user is ban evading - which means he has been banned on Sythe before and made a new profile to "evade" his ban. This is forbidden and should be reported here.
• When you're using the search index make sure you're visiting the page you wish to search in. If you wish to search on the entire website, make sure you're on the main board. When you wish to search for something only ever posted in the FIFA Market for example then visit said section and use the search function on the right top there.
• Multiple words can also be used in your search, however you must use the double quotation marks. For example when you're wondering if someone ever said carrots are great you must search for it like "carrots are great". If you're wondering if someone ever used those words, but not in the same order, you can leave out the quotation marks.
• To add even more, you can search for email addresses, aswell as Skype and Discord usernames in here aswell. Make sure to be on the main board once again.

IP Audits

• IP Audits, which can be found by clicking on someone's profile as seen here, are a great guidance to determine whether or not someone is ban evading - however they are far from defenitive. It is impossible for regular members to find out if someone is ban evading only based on their IP audit. The only time when you can conclude someone is either ban evading or using a proxy is when there's only one hashed IP being shown on their audit with a whole lot of usernames below it.
  
  Reporting ban evaders requires alot more than their IP audit, for example the same Discord usernames, Skype usernames, email addresses or anything of these sort.

Signatures

• Signatures are allowed to be 650pixels in width and 350 in height. This is being exceeded when you quote vouches or anything else in your signature. An easy way to figure out the size of your signature space is by downloading Gyazo and capturing a custom region (which is your signature). Signatures in this case are considered the entire space, not just one picture. Anything added in here applies to the size of your signature, even text and whitespaces.

Custom user titles

• As said before those can be enhanced once you're a $100 donator. This means you can change the fonts, the color, the styles, include links, apply glow etc. A guide to a https://www.sythe.org/threads/glowing-ut/ is already around, however that's about it. Usertitles require to be made in HTML editors, as this is the only thing on the website that has to be in HTML code. Signatures and such are in BB code. There's plenty of HTML editors online available, such as this one. You can write down your text on the left side of the website and go from there. You are however, not allowed to:
  - Insert images, media, tables, special characters or horizontal lines.
  - Format into super- or subscripts or codes, nor blocks or align it.
  - Tables are not allowed either.
  - Do not use the formatting tool, except use the red/green/blue text ones.
  - Once again you may not align the text.
  - "Justify" isn't allowed either, nor is the bullet or numered list.
  - Indents are not allowed either.
  - Do not use "right to left", or once again use images/media.
  - Tables, emoticons and background colors may not be used either.
  
  Once done, look at your code and ensure there's no <p> and </p> around the code. Also make sure you change <span style= to <font style=, aswell as </span> to </font>.
  
  HTML variables for <b> is <strong> but both can be used. A proper code for example is "<font style="color:#ff6600; text-shadow: 0 0 .7em #ff6600;"><b>The past prepares us for the present.</b></font>" without the quotation marks. Please refrain from using this one though, this only serves as an example.

Skype hatscript replacement

• I've seen some issues with the Hatscript images previously being used here. To ensure those keep working Sythe has it's special code to use, which is

  Skype isn't used much anymore though.

Check the IP Audit of profile names which break the forum

• There's a million of examples for this one, but I'll just use a recent profile, such as this user: 07 Lounge. Clicking his name on any of his threads will have your browser load it for eternity with no result. People who ban evade with atleast the slightest amount of brains could really use this to an advantage as everyone probably gives up checking their audit if it won't load. You can fix this by going to his profile and checking the address bar. There, you'll most likely see this:

  Look carefully at the code, as you'll see his name, aswell as his user ID of the website.
  To go to his audit from here, remove his name, aswell as the dot, resulting in:

  This takes you to his audit and this works with basically any name that breaks the forum.

Solid thread, per usual. Thanks for posting this. I tend to link newcomers to your other sythe usage tips thread.. I’m going to start including this one as well.

This is very well-thought and inclusive. You spent a lot of time harping on donations & donation related perks. I’ve received several questions from newer members before related to miniranks, what they are, and how to buy/sell/trade them. It could be beneficial to include a little write up on that as well.
