Yearly/Specific Fundraisers

I would, and I guarantee I could find others who would.
Maybe have prizes for the top donators in the fundraiser, or if you donate over $25 you get the prize, etc, so that the number of prizes required is limited.

 

Right. It would just require some planning so that it works out well. But the idea is sound enough.

 

problem with that one is most would use spykes service(if its open) to donate and they could know exactly what is being donated at the time so highest donation doesn't really work too good.

I'm not sure the community goal would work out that good as far as i can see most mods don't even donate(as far as i can tell from there ranks) yet they would most likely get to make the decision. If the goals were made by a public vote then i guess it would work.

maybe having randomized prizes given out to people chosen at random who do donate during a fundraising period.

The prizes could be cash or even a special rank (meaningless like the cracker head and mudkip ranks) but would be limited to say 1-5 people and can never be obtained again.

I disagree with the ranks. Donator ranks already exist and this will make those ranks "buyable", which isn't the best thing.

 

Yea. Fun ranks are for fun, not for donators. They get a rank already.

 

limited/winnable each donor would go in the draw to win the rank. It would become sythes only gambling rank, because basically that's what you have to do to win.

 

Care to make some more specifics about who would get the rank or what not?

 

im guessing someone like Mathew would give each donor a number and would use an electronic system to pick out a winning number. 100% luck/faith on who wins

 

So basically its just a rank that the donators could get randomly? It doesn't really seem like the sort of thing that they would want to donate just for the chance to get it.

 

im throwing suggestions towards a fundraiser it was an idea that involved no cost to sythe. It would only be one time chance to get it and that would be during the fundraiser itself its just an idea to get more people to donate if such a event would happen

I read over this thread putting together some of the ideas thrown around and came up with this.

I have not donated because of the fact I only have Paypal and from what I know Spyke doesn't do PP donations and more, correct me if I am wrong.

I think that a bar on the top or side of sythe would actually motivate a lot of people to donate. It would motivate me and a lot of others in my position. That is without an added perk to the special yearly donation.

Maybe something as simple as $5 Donator gets something other that Guthix armour, Maybe you can choose Between a few things.. and the same with other donations. I would not support choosing your own Item but I think different items of the same category as the current one would be good.

Or maybe at this special donation you can get NPC pictures instead of items..
Like .. Abby demon for $5 , Jad for $25...

Also want to throw this out there:
Maybe at Christmas or something if you donate XXDays Before/After Christmas.
You can get a Christmas Tree or something in the bar near ur name.
