WoW or RS?

But really if you plan ahead and are organised and only play when you know your guild is doing heroics/raids, then you waste far less time than you do maxing out even a single 99 on rs..

 

Why can't you "plan ahead and be organised" on Runescape?

 

Do you even understand what I mean? It doesn't take 2 months to get 525 in a profession on WoW, nor does it take more than a few days to (at least partially) complete a raid. In runescape, you have to max out your stats, or get them into the 90's to even find a gwd or other PVE dungeon group. And then there's levelling skills, which take a far longer time than WoW does overall. I've hit 85 and geared up fully in heroics in under a month, whereas I would still be training a skill to 99 on Runescape. Sure you can plan out a gwd group with your guild, but I'm talking mostly about skills in general (ie the fact that it takes a long time to even get the combat stats to do gwd).

 

I played a wow private server found it sh*t i think the game is all based on who has the best items.

runescape is a good game to logg onto when your bored want to chill out drink a beer or 2 and have some fun with mates.

WOW takes the game way to serious where as runescape is fun.

Yes, I misunderstood at first. Sorry about that.

To me though, I like the fact that it takes time to level in Runescape because when you reach the higher levels it gives you a sense of accomplishment. I find Runescape to be a hate it or love it type of game.

There's just as many casual WoW players as there are casual runescape players. Your assuming that every single player raids seriously which isn't true. Many people just do instances/pvp casually. Getting in a good guild is a hard thing to do.

Every single popular game will have players with no life. Your saying there's no videos on youtube of runescape no lifers? I spent many more hours a day playing runescape than wow because there isn't really an end to runescape.

 

Browser as in you don't have to install 20-30GB worth of memory.

 

Runescape = relaxed gameplay
WoW = involved, interactive gameplay

I don't play WoW.. it's not my cup of tea.

 

I have been a long term player for both games (RS 6 years, WoW 4 years) so it is hard for me to decide as they are both completely different. I enjoy WoW for the social/pve/hardcore aspect, although I enjoy RS for the pking, money making and casual playing style.

 

I like rs better

 

RS has orrible graphics, WoW is a lot better so I prefer it (WoW isn't my favourite mmorpg)

 

Played both games. Runescape is waaaaaaay^999 times better, more unique gameplay. I've played too many mmos that are similar to WoW.

i have been playing RS for 5 nearing 6 yrs and i had been playing WOW for about 2 and a half.

With the resent cata expansion everything became shit in wow pvp the classes especially healer classes everything just got dulled down and basically added 50-70k hps to everyone by lvl 85 this is the worst mistake wow has done now with a game file of 27G the graphic barely got better it was a let down people say wow has more quest yes it dose like 5-6 thousand or so more but most of that is go kill 10-20 guys that are standing there and come back when your done or get 8-30 items and come back when your done, obviously this get boring and tedious so i tried pvp through the low lvls if you were not a rogue or shammy your just fucked especially true with rouge in lvl aria of 30-59 and lvl 80 pre cata as i had a rouge that just was 4 buttons to do about 25-35k dam and no one could do anything about it as it did this in about like 1,3,3,2 that was my attack rotation but in about 1-3 seconds. pvp gets tedious getting 3-4 shotted by everyone and having little chance, and now its just stupid in a 1vs1 against heals there epic but as heals in a normal cata dungeon at lvl 85 ooming half way though a trash pull and wile wearing gear for heroic version of it is just stupid. but they got a better storyline now but still as a said 90% of quests is kill and or collect, good thing though is the many race chooses in wow makes things mix up a bit, but over all whether you have a worgan warrior or a human warrior it ends up still the same game play that how i feel about wow now.

now to RS yes it can be tedious with the "Grind" but there is more mini games in RS (respectively most are member only) in rs your first 30-40 combat lvls are easy to get well the first 30-40 lvl is any skill is easy to get they have some interesting seme new skills to for both members and nonmembers and they are slowing upgrading there graphic, considerably and less download and Hard drive space then wow and cheaper per month than wow but just about most of the quests have all different styles and make it refreshing but you need to do quests (mostly easy) to unlock the ability to wear armor or go to some place and someone said in a early thread about i rs if you don't have money your screw that's pretty much the same with wow but (member again sorry) as a lvl 40 or so and have like 29 hunting you can make enough money in one day to last you till about lvl 80 unlike wow when you have to work the AH to make money as non member it can be painful but still you get the best non member armor by lvl 60 which is ruffly when you have the skills to use it anyway rs has made some bad mistakes (eg: remove wildy but it is coming back they say 17th/01/2011 (today) due to a vote for it)

now to botting i have seen both RS and wow player bot and i have seen one step further with wow multi boxing (basically having multiple accounts and have it all bind to one keyboard for all and they move and target and attack in sink with each other wile there in the same group)

gold selling hacking and real world trading it happens in both games!


if you had asked me which was better before cata came out i would say WOW but after cata and the apolling "upgrade" to characters i would have to say Runescape.

That's not actually true. Blizzard have made World of Warcraft a more casual game over the years. There's nothing the "average person" can't achive nowadays.

For you to be implying what you're saying, I assume you've played both games, is that correct? If so, compare the time it takes to reach the level cap on both games, and then tell me which is the most time consuming.

 

Dude Wow and rs 2 different games but think of it. wow you can fly, getting gold is a little harder, but besides that i mean yeah bosses are fun but quests are repetitive also raid and do same shit.
