    WoW or RS?

I'm just going to number a response to each line
    1) Yes you can, ever heard of dungeons? There are several dungeons for each level range from 15-85. Then there are hard (heroic) version of each, and raids at 60, 70, 80 and 85 respectively. And you can PVP in various battlegrounds, or arenas which also scale with level and skill.

    2) Because playing a game is all about ease of botting, correct?

    3) In WoW there is no need to bot, you don't have to stand in one square for 1500 hours to get to a 99 skill, you move around to different places, working on professions that, once again, scale by level. Rather than just one new type of rock that you can mine all the way to 99, or being able to cut willows to 99.

    4) So wait, you're telling me grinding on the same mob is more fun than discovering new places, completing quest objectives and getting new items and experience all the way to 85? Try playing WoW nowadays, they revamped all the 1-60 quest zones so they are less "collect 8 boar flanks" and more "kill target X whilst clearing trash and collecting a few other things along the way". I just started a new shaman to go through the revamped content, and I can tell you I haven't been able to stop. And I'm someone who doesn't have the patience required to grind on Runescape.

    5) Runescape is more of a grind, period. You grind gold, or like people on this site, buy it and then train (or bot) a dclaws rusher and then 2 hit people. Wow, that's certainly a whole lot more entertaining than levelling a character, learning how to play it properly and actually manipulating what abilities you have to be able to have the upper hand in a pvp situation. Do you lose shit on WoW? No, you don't lose all your gear, instead you face consequences like having to repair armour and weapons (which can become VERY expensive, especially in raiding times), people leaving your dungeon because your group wiped too many times then having to wait for new players, and the simple satisfaction of knowing you outplayed your opponent with skill - the recipient often learning from their mistakes, which is far better than losing all their gear and having to hope their next spec is a little higher. Oh and I forgot to mention, a win in a battleground means you get more points than a loss, so it makes sense to play as a team and be competitive in order to win. Same thing goes for arenas, and dungeons/raids as a whole.

    6) You got me there, WoW does cost a lot, but that's one possible reason why there are far less children playing than there are on Runescape.

    7) That's not a reason for RS being better than WoW. In fact, I find that open world pvp, battlegrounds and arenas are far better than the old wildy. And trust me here, I've played Runescape since it came out.

    8) Definitely not the first comment in this thread that I lol'd at. You do realise most people who play WoW stop after a year. The few that continue are generally the hardcores, or people who take longer to play due to time restrictions ie only being able to play an hour or two a day. Most people who play Runescape tend to continue for years afterwards, myself included. No lifers? Certainly these people exist in both games. However, I'm more inclined to think that the grindy Runescape is more of a no-life game than WoW, where you are actually allowed to move out of a 10 square vicinity.

    WoW or RS?

This is a dumb thing to compare. We know they are both MMO's but still have so many differences they shouldn't even be comparable. WoW is client based and Rs browser based that said they have very different abilities and options. That said ill try my best to compare them since I've played both near launch.

Wow is currently more popular then Rs. Even though wow onlu has a paid a paid option so I would have to say its doing better then Runescape. As far as support WoW beats runescapes to the ground. I've had accounts hacked and even whole characters and items deleted some my fault and not.I've received every item/character back to this day. Next to that the RWT & Bots issues punishing runescape and limmiting a persons trade and gameplay (not saying i don't cheat) but it doesn't have such a harsh effect on my fellow players in Wow.

Now runescape is a very casual play as you want game. It a laid back game that also can put out to it hardcore players without making you forget about your children like wow can... but both games are good games.

I would say if you have money and the time go with Wow since your investment is more protected and less limitation with the economy and game play. If you don't have time and are in school go with runescape since you can drop it easier than wow. Hope this helped :D

    WoW or RS?

i have played both thoroughly and i believe that old RS (with staking/free trade/wildy) beats WoW but rs without free trade/staking/pk is worse than WoW

    WoW or RS?

I've played both games and spend lots of hours in the games, but all in all I can't say which I like the most as they're so different.

Runescape to me is like Peggle or Bejewelled; you just log in and play. It is a casual game with hardcore potential.

WoW is way more hardcore. Obviously there are casual players - and I believe they're the majority in WoW - but the skill-cap in WoW is so higher than it is in Runescape.

I've played WoW at a hardcore level because I had a lot of time on my hands, but when I start Uni in 8 months I'll be playing RS again. :)

    WoW or RS?

I don't know what your talking about, you can do a lot of things at low level.
Runescape is so boring, that you have to bot your account to make it fun.
No one said you have to do all those quests.
WoW is more competitive than RS. You have about 12-15 guilds in each server competing to be server first to kill raid bosses. You also have guilds now doing rated BGs, and there are arenas in 2v2 3v3 and 5v5.

WoW costs $180 a year, learn to do math. $15 a month times 12 is $180. And you don't buy all the CDs every year so you can't really count that.
Runescape has no life. To reach max level in 1 skill takes a shit load of time.

    WoW or RS?

I played the trial with a friend of mine who plays WoW. I don't know if it was the server or realm but we only seen like 4 people max. He told me that WoW gets better at higher levels but at the rate I was going, that was going to take forever. I gave up like 2 hours later.

WoW did have better graphics but other than that, rs and wow are pretty similar.

    WoW or RS?

The only things I can see for Runescape is that you can play it on a browser, and there it is optional to pay for membership.

Hmm, what do I dislike about WoW....

Uhh, I'm not sure. Can't think of any at the moment, but of course there are some.

    WoW or RS?

Do you know what windowed mode is?

A disadvantage to WoW is it requires a dedication of time if you want to have fun. If you want to raid with your guild you can't choose what time you want to raid.. you have to show up on time to the guild's set raid time. And this is at least a few times a week, so it would most likely cause you to miss real life events if you want to be a serious raider.
