where were you on 9/11

I was and still am in India, and that time I was pretty much ignorant about the news.

 

I was living in London at the time where we had just moved to another property. I came downstairs at around lunchtime and turned the TV on, saw the plane fly into the tower and ran upstairs to wake parents up. I wasn't going to school at the time as we were preparing to move again.

 

We had just moved to our new house and I had just become homeschooled at the time, so I was just working on math in my living room. I remember my grandparents from the UK were at our house and we were all pretty nervous because my uncle is a pilot for British Airways. He was actually in-flight as all the shit went down, so it get pretty intense for him, to say the least.

 

I was watching a documentary about Eminem.

It interrupted the TV feed with breaking news..

I'm sure most of us were in this situation. There's a 13 year span from kindergarten to 12th grade, I doubt many of us fall outside this range.

 

I was in my history class in the 6th grade.

 

I was probably sleeping at the time of 911 (Hong Kong)

 

School was almost out. and i knew somthing was up because of the teachers reactions. They wouldnt say anything to the students. so i decide to hope on the bitches computer and read her email. I didn't really understand the content. but it made sense after i got home and watched the news. As being about 10 back then i didn't really have a reaction to it.. Just something else happening on tv.

 

I was at school sitting in class which had just started.

 

Home. I guess everyone's lesson that day was the News at school.

 

On the plane doing work.

 

I was in school, 6th grade. Teacher got pulled out of the class by the principal, about 5 minutes later they said schools out for the day everyone go home. Nothing else.

 

I was sitting in school like HOLY SHIT. I was I think in like 8th grade?

 

I was too young to think anything of it at all.

 

I was waiting for my speech therapy teacher when she called my mom, telling her to turn the television on and that she wasn't going to be showing up that day. I was only 4 but it's one of my most vivid memories. I lived in New York and of course my family, as the rest of everyone's, was freaking out and my dad, being a combat medic in the military, went into the city but was refused entry. We had family in the city at the time, so that was hell trying to get into contact too.

 

I was at home getting ready for school and my mom was folding laundry with the TV on. I got to go to school half a day late because my dad was on a flight when it happened and so we had to wait to make sure he was ok.

 

At home eating a roast beef sandwich.
