lol I was about 8 still in Dubai I remember coming home from ice hockey. Didn't give much of a shit then, nor do I now. No disrespect intended.

 

And dailys posting youtube videos of people making fun of it. Ive lost my love for him now. Its absolutely discusting.

 

I agree, and people are sticking up for him just because he's global, its not funny and it's just fucking wrong what he posted.

Pointless living in the past. Build something on the land where the towers were, and move on. There's no point in remembering, unless you're looking for a reason why there's a war in the middle-east right now.

At least, that's how I feel. Somehow I get this foreboding feeling that someone will try and flame the hell out of me, but it's the truth. Do you further yourself any more by thinking in the past? No.

I'm not living in the past, but since i lost my uncle on that day why would i not want to remember? I'm not mourning on this day im just remembering.......

 

My point stands: Are you advancing anywhere yourself by remembering? I realise that sentimentally it can mean a lot, but unfortunately sentimental value usually means nothing in the big picture.

Sure, there's nothing wrong with remembering. However, what I'm getting at is there doesn't need to be a big fuss about it. Remember it, sure, but what I really dislike is how it is all over the media every year, and how everyone demands a minute of silence like it's some sort of requirement to live. The hype is ridiculous, even if it is just remembering, and I really do dislike that.

Yep while we're at it, fuck it, let's forget about all the pople that died in WWI and WW2 and all the firemen that lost their lives trying to save the people trapped in the world trade centre buildings. You know how selfish you sound? I'm not even American i'm Australian, but what if you decided to run up those buildings to save lives knowing you probably won't make it out alive and 8 years later everyone says, " Well fuck living in the past let's forget about him".

 

Actually, I live in the US, and I pretty much have the same views as him.

Acts of bravery are always memorable, but for the people who died, should you really make this much of a fuss? It's almost no different from the Atom bomb, I don't think we do the same thing with it, do we? And around 200,000 died then, plus the after affects of the exposure to radiation.

 

Is that only reason you do things? Advancing yourself?

 

Then i guess everyone is living in the past when we celebrate christmas and alot of other holidays?

I was 9, and I was in my living room with my mum when I heard. My dad had to come home from his office in London early, incase his building was targeted next.
