To be honest I think the worst crime is manslaughter like who came up with the name, and it has a lesser sentence then murder... Lmfao

Theft, since all crime is some form of theft. Theft of life, theft of property, theft of rights.

Murder, no contest. It has the biggest effect.

 

Honestly, I've never heard a good reason why murder is absolutely wrong; under every circumstance. First of all, life is not intrinsically valuable. What really matters is the value you add to your surroundings, whether it is your community (people), your environment or some external entity. However, the majority of people don't truly make any unique contribution to the world at large; their existence is truly pointless and beneficial to no one but themselves. In fact I'll go further and claim that most people take more from the world (in resources) than they add (perhaps in the value of their labour or endeavors in general). Ipso facto we must conclude that they are truly not valuable, in fact, they have a negative value and the system is probably better off without them. In such a circumstance, one can attach the term "good" to the act of ridding the world of this parasite. This is why when Bin Laden, someone in a vegetative state or a fetus putting the life of it's mother at risk are killed it is justified.

On the other hand, we have truly remarkable people who if killed society would truly lose. For example, if Einstein was killed before releasing his theory of relativity this would truly be a negative case of murder. This is where murder is wrong.

There are many different types of murder.

 

I would have to say raping/torturing a little kid. Most times kids are scarred to death of the person doing this to them so they're not going to tell their parents or the proper authorities because they're so scarred of what that person will do to them. Not only that but think of the emotional effect that's going to have on the kid that it happened to? They're going to have to deal and remember that for the rest of their lives. Not only that but most of the time the person that did it to them, get's away with it for a really long time. It's horrible. What happened to those kids in December was horrible, the Sandy Hook shooting, it's terrible what happened to everyone that was killed but think of the emotional effect it's going to have on the kid's that survived! Any crime against kid's is just extremely wrong because they are defenseless, and most likely they didn't do anything to the person who rapes or kills them to deserve that.

I suppose other crimes are just as bad, morally, however in evolutionary terms, murder has to be the most maladaptive, and allow me to explain:

A molested/scarred child will have issues and problems, however will still be able to live out their dreams and desires, even if in a manner differentiating from the reality of them not being scarred.

To end a life, however, is it remove all chance of that person directly affecting the greater good of humanity. A murdered person can not directly lead a revolution, nor establish the right kind of laws, rules, or ethics that contribute to reversing the state of confusion that we as humans embrace.

There is only the off chance that the murder of a person sparks ideas in the minds of others that lead to a silver lining. This, however, could apply to the rape of a person or a person losing something from theft.

Murder is the greatest contribution to the backwards spiral of evolution in my opinion.

I know you're banned, but how could manslaughter be worse than murder? Manslaughter is killing someone unintentionally, whereas murder is killing someone intentionally.

I'd say the worst crime is forcing someone to murder someone they love (IIRC some gangs do this, and will torture the person until they cave)
