At least rape victims are still alive, murder victims aren't. Ask yourself if you'd rather have a loved one murdered or raped.

 

I don't know how death can be considered lesser to rape..you die your dead and don't exist, you get raped you live on.

 

I think murdering and permanently disfiguring a person are the worst possible offences. Obviously murder is horrible, but I'd say that acid attacks are just as bad, if not worse sometimes. These are both compounded if committed against children.

Rape... As there is no reason why it should be condoned to anyone.

Where as murder can as if someone is going to kill you, I'm sure you will want to kill them first.

Or anything todo with Children. But then again it depends if the "victim" is totally innocent, I mean most 15 year olds look at least 18-19 and if they play on it and then yeh you get the picture.

I believe that Child Molesters commit the worst crime in todays world. Justice is even given to them in prison if fellow inmates learn of their crimes. A large percentage of Child Molesters are killed in prison alone. Which I personally believe is reasonable.

Intentional Murder in my eyes is the worst crime you could possibly commit.

 

Rape and molestation.
I couldn't imagine being in a situation of being molested; especially by someone who is a family member and lives at home with me. The dictator of the house, also molesting me? I couldn't fathom.

 

You live on with that experience. You can say some people rather be dead than to live knowing they've been raped. It's really traumatizing.

 

I would definitely have to say rape and child abuse. Both of these crimes are about equivalent to me due to the longevity of the effects they have on the victims.

Anything that is drawn-out and has elements of torture resulting in psychological damage. So, things like extreme cases of kidnapping where people are tortured and kept in dungeons, and definitely rape. There's no contest here.

For those of you who say murder, crimes that result in negative psychological effects completely break people for the rest of their lives, and their families too. It's a lot more difficult to overcome the ravaging of your body as opposed to just being dead. The rape + murder combinations are the worst cases, especially the cases involving children. Disgusting.

 

This is almost exactly how I feel... This is why I don't like the death penalty for criminals who've done horrible things like this. I'd rather them sit and rot with the guilt and shame than to just die.
