What makes runescape so addicting?

Basically, the ability to keep progressing solely based on time spent. It doesn't really require skill to level up so anybody can do it, and it can be relaxing at times.

 

I think it's just the progression that we as humans like to see, and in a game like Runescape where progress is easy to make it's a very nice feeling.

 

I like the profit part. made 35k back in the day before eoc came out.. now its harder

 

I find the game addicting because I've been playing it for 9 years and have made many different accounts. I think its addicting because no 2 players need to play the same way, you can all do different things and approach situations differently. Also there are SO MANY different ways to play the game, skilling, pvm, questing, pvp.... and so on.
