What do you want our Minecraft/Pixelmon server to be?

Is adding more servers a good idea? I think its like rs3/07, where you'll just end up splitting the community, and some servers will be dead whereas others not.

 

We might. The creative one has been dead since the start appart from people making stuff in it for 1-2 days so we could replace that with a vanilla minecraft server (need to discuss first) and change the pokemon server with things people want.

 

The problem is, while pixelmon can serve a dual purpose (both pixelmon and survival), a lot of people don't bother with trying to install the Pixelmon mod (even though its a fairly simple process yes, im salty).

 

This is somewhat of a speculation but I think @Sythe wants to connect Pixelmon with Pokemon miniranks on the forum some way sooner or later (there was a suggestion some time ago which sparked his interest afaik). So Pixelmon servers might be more important for him. Nontheless we could do something like rs3 and rs07 but then for MC for sure.

 

i generally agree with what others have said. would prefer no hostile mobs so pixelmon can be the main focus. i also think it would be great if we could have lots of gyms, and maybe even re-playable gyms (?). also trainers need to be swapped in for traders, and gym battles should all give significant money that you can buy things... i cba buying a revive when one revive costs half a gym battle and there's only like 15 gym battles in the game.

 

but making money is fairly easy in pixelmon, getting 999k pokedollars takes maybe a day or two of straight farming, depending on your method. however gyms give good exp and money too, so I wouldn't add a buff to it or anything.

 

farming what? there are no trainers in the version of pixelmon i was playing last week. the only way to get money is gym battles afaik

i havent played the newest/recent release of the pixelmon yet, only downloaded it, but wow i didnt know they removed trainers, anyways before, all you had to do was craft an amulet coin and battle trainers anywhere, and you'd make a wad of cash. Also finding grottos and item finders items make you a ton of cash too. TM's sell for a lot in pokemarts, as well as some of the equitable items. I can tell you those two for money making, but I wouldn't dare to release the money maker I use on the server.

Trainers still spawn in the most recent update of pixelmon for me... have it running in single player.

 

yes it was, was the amount of trainers lowered or something @Buyacc ? It was fairly easy finding trainers, maybe i'll log in tomorrow to check it out.

I encountered no trainers for some time as well. Even tried putting the NPC spawn rate to maximum and was not able to find 1. I already contacted @SuF about it some time ago. I think it would be better to go to an older Pixelmon version anyway as mods are generally not updated to the newest Pixelmon version as well (in my experience).

 

Last I checked it was not updated so we can not use it.

 

Everything is set to stop mobs spawning and only those two things spawn so I think it's a bug.

 

I believe the trainers being gone is a bug with the beta version we are running. We can't upgrade to the next one yet because it requires a newer version of the minecraft server that our other mods do not yet support.

 

What if we downgrade to use it?

 

If we downgrade a whole bunch but I don't see all that much benefit. We've found stuff that works for what we are running that basically covers everything we would want from Essentials, I think.
