My point is, for large websites, this is hardly feasible. Might I suggest altering bumping in some way so that vouches do *not* bump the thread unless the previous post was over 2 hours old? This would allow people to still collect vouches without worry of the timer, as it will only then bump the thread after the appropriate amount of time has passed.

I think policing of it will be relatively forgiving. Effectively if you are vouch bumping you'll get 12 vouch bumps a day, and if you are not vouch bumping you'll get 6 regular bumps a day.

If you end up using a combination it should be counted out of 12 points, 1 point for each vouch bump, 2 for each non-vouch bump.

We'll see how it goes with manual policing first and if automation seems warranted we'll implement that based on staff and users feedback

I think the situation with no auto bumps was bad enough, waving another rule (vouch on sells threads) makes it super hard to understand, especially for new sellers joining sythe

Can it be weaved completely then so it isn't just postponed vouches but it is more organic, no growth hacking opportunities opened, just what a regular person would do, bump a thread by hand and give his clients 1 thread - either a vouch or sales thread ( by personal preference )

You can quote the customer's vouch from your sales thread onto your vouch thread. This is perfectly acceptable.

that's really good for us bigger sites that have more traffic so that we can have a monopoly essentially, because we will be ontop 24/7 we just need 1 customer every 2 hours (12 sales a day is way below average for a gold site)

i would vote yes but it seems unfair

Even small gold shops should be able to get 1 customer every 2 hours if they are ambitious and have good prices, I don't think that unfairly benefits large shops

I don't know, i'm trying to figure out if this change encourages healthy trading practices or growth hacking and strategizing your bumps.
If it's the second it's really good for us gold sites, you just need to make sure you have 30-40 clients a day rdy to vouch, and for every 60k+ a month gold site that's doable (our average purchase is 90$+, but assuming not every client will vouch) even though i would just like to have a simple bumping rule like on every other forum, this change is really good so we can keep new people from entering the market, i don't mean to be ironic but i really hope it works

That's not our intention

We're going to allow people to accumulate vouches on their vouch thread (if they want to) and then quote those vouches as a vouch bump onto their sales thread. One bump per vouch of course.

Our intention is to help smaller market players get exposure rather than the front page of the market being continuously and always large gold shops
