do i need a good computer to rn a vps? im thinking i want to start doing sorcerers garden botting. how many bots can i run with 1 vps server thing? how big should i get the server? how much would the server be? and do i need a good computer to do this.

You need a computer - but it doesn't need to be on all the time. You just need any regular old computer so that you can connect to the VPS, set up your bots, and then disconnect. I highly recommend you look into VPSInfinity.com as they are setup extremely easily - you don't even need to know Linux anymore as we have re-coded our template! Purchase, Login, And you're botting right away!

How do i connect to my open xl vps, from photon!!!!

Answered your PM :)

I bought the Warp2 CentOS 5.5 32bit package from PhotonVPS and I got it all set up and working so I can access the internet via my VPS. But when I go to rsbot.net and try to download the bot, it saves it but when i click on it to install, it has no applications to use to install it with. Would like some help if i could get some. Thanks.

The new installer is a Jar file. The easiest way to download and install it is through a terminal, so open up one on your VPS and type the following:

Code:
wget impsoft.info/download.php -O Installer.jar
java -jar Installer.jar

Pretty straight forward after that as it's just like on a normal computer :)

What exactly is the difference between using a 1-2 GB VPS or using a 4+ GB one?
Also, what does it do actually? Save you electricity? But what I'm really wondering is, does it my own personal monthly internet? I don't have unlimited :c

I would be botting on one Dungeoneering account+ maybe ONE moneymaking bot.
Would the 1-2 GB one be good enough to bot it 24/7 for how long the VPS lasts.

What's the cheapest one I could get that would run a Dungeoneering bot 24/7 using iDungPro from Rsbuddy.

It does not use any of your internet, except when you are setting it up/looking at the bot. You can leave it running and use none of your own internet.

Yes, 1-2GB is fine, that will allow you to run 2-4 accounts with no lag. It can run 24/7.

If they're both going to be in RSBuddy you can probably get away with a 1GB, maybe 1.5GB. Check out VPSInfinity.com, it's the easiest to use and most powerful Runescape VPS available, and you can automatically upgrade if necessary (Assuming there is server space available of course)

im interested in setting one up,
could any regular old labtop run an vps ?
and could i run it overnight without having to run my
labtop ?

It doesn't matter what kind of computer you have to run a VPS - as long as you have one so you can use the VNC viewer to connect and setup your bots on the VPS.

Yes - you can turn your laptop completely off and the VPS will still be running.

Check out VPSInfinity.com they're the most powerful Runescape VPS servers available and perfect for newcomers as it is a 100% perfect GUI and no linux knowledge is necessary unlike all other VPS providers, just click and start botting!

I've just bought a 3GB plan from rsxvps.com, only running one bot on it and it's working fine. Looking to do 5-6 once I create some accounts, good price and good vps. Only con was the information took half a day, but that's in the past.

Hey guys, I've got a situation on my hands :S

My brother bought a VPS with his credit card about 6 months ago. The company charged his card the first month and for some odd reason he has not been charged these last 5 months. He gave the VPS to me since he does not use it, so I wanted to see if it was possible for the VPS company to re-send me the VPS details in an email. My brother deleted the email long ago so I only have the information to access the VPS via Putty and the password for VNCviewer. The thing is I don't know which VPS provider he bought from but I am pretty sure it was ThrustVPS.

How would I go about receiving an email from ThrustVPS with the VPS information? I would provide root password and VNCviewer password to show that it's my VPS.

Also, I mentioned I was unsure that he used ThrustVPS. Is it possible to find out which VPS provider hosts my VPS?

Thanks guys :)
