VPSes for botting - Talk about them here!

SeerHost is down again. Looks like PayPal has been removed again. Too bad, by far the best VPS.

 

When I go to http://www.rsbots.net/download/ and try to download the client, it just takes me to a page that says:

Why is this? It takes me to this page as soon as I click on the Download button.

I'm new here and after reading the posts here i've decided to go with Photon VPS. The reviews on this size were quite accurate and i received a confirmation email within a five minutes and i was able to set up my VPS within the hour

You're over paying tbh.

You can buy one from SeerHost (check my sig) for 13-15$ a month. That comes with 1gb of RAM and runs SW (which takes the most CPU/RAM) flawlessly.

Plus, they already have the RSBots.net client installed and takes 15min if you have totally no clue what you're doing to set it up.

They were done for maybe an hour?

You had to reload the VPS by going into PUtty.
But kind of hard since they removed PayPal, I just linked my CC to AlertPay though.

The difference between seerhost and photon:

Seerhost runs 1 sw.
Photon warp 2 same specs as the seerhost '13$ a month' runs 3 sws. The burst ram is amazing and well worth it.

 

Can you make your bot, bot for a certain amount of time during the day?

 

Again, any word on vpsbotting or vpsunlimited?

 

I have warp 2, and it lags a lot with 1 SW bot. It still gets it done but I don't see it being able to run 3, much less 2? How are you able to do that?

 

I can confirm that Seerhost is a very good bot.

Great support, and very much worth the price.

 

The real difference:

Burst ram is meant for short bursts of traffic spikes- not 24/7 botting

No VPS provider will let you use burst ram constantly- you'll get suspended. Photonvps is no exception, they only allow botting on their xen VPS's for this reason (you may get away with it but they'll eventually make you switch to xen)

 

That's true, too much into burst = cut off. With almost any provider out there.

 

Lol I know. I thought everything would go smoothly once I was properly connected to the vps and then bam.. another problem. :noworry:

 

Any other good options for VPS? I want to run 5+ SG bots but warp 4 on photon and gold on seers are both out of stock for the time being.

has anyone used gigevps.net? My buddy said he will sell me his 2gb plan (which cost $40) for $15, so it sounds as if they might have some serious problems or something. I asked their live support if they support the java client and they said they did but that "it tends to misread java at high loads, and would reboot." they couldnt give me a number as to what would be too high..Any suggestions as to what i should do?
