Then is botvps.com good?

 

As many people have said before, botvps is absolutely terrible. They oversell their servers so you aren't getting nearly what you paid for.

 

Purchased 2 gigs vps, I'm very dissapointed, bot crashes after 5 mins, ofcourse, if it even starts up... Rs takes 5-10 mins to load up, only works in unsigned mode, otherwise it stays black screen with message 'loading - please wait' until bot crashes...
VERY dissapointed :S

EDIT: Closed Vnc viewer and went to look how it goes with different acc, now it's running perfectly! WOOT
EDIT2: bots run alright, but when I open Vnc viewer they both log out... is there anything I can do? P.S. using low-bandwidth connection when connecting to vps, could this be the problem( my internet is very slow, so don't say 'omfg nub just change it and try....')

I'm looking to run a SW bot, kMiner (at lrc), and maybe 1 or two other bots. What are my options?

 

i've been looking into starting my own gold farm up. and see that everyone is using vps's but why does nobody buy their own servers? surely it would be worth it over time. any one here own a server of their own and have any tips for me about purchasing one?

 

It can be slightly cheaper but it would take a long time to make it worth it due to economy of scale.

Also, then you're committed to goldfarming for a long time- and it's not exactly the most stable income.

 

Also, can I use the same auths that I used on my computer on the VPS? or will they get blacklisted

No, you can only use them on 1 IP at a time.

So you can use those an auth on your vps but you cannot use the same auth on say your computer at the same time.

 

Let me try to explain this.

If you have one auth key for a bot you purchased, you cannot have that one auth key entered into the auth panel on the bot client on two different IPs.

Example: You have one auth key. You cannot keep that auth entered in your auth panel on your home computer and your VPS(or any other location with a different IP.)

I don't think that having your one auth key entered into two different auth panels on two different IPs alerts Rsbots.net. I think that it will only alert them to re-issue an auth key is when the single auth key is entered into two different auth panels on two different IPs and the bot IS BEING USED BY BOTH OR JUST ONE IP Address.

The reason you will be re-issued an auth key for RUNNING your single auth on both IPS at the same time:
Rsbots.net only allows you to run one bot per auth key per IP so this would look like you are breaking their rule by either sharing your auth keys with your buddies or you are basically trying to avoid spending more money on another bot and you decided to "re-use" your single auth key.

The reason you will be re-issued an auth key for keeping your auth code entered in two auth panels on two different IPS, but only running one at a time:

It would be very convenient to be able to type in your auth key on your desktop, laptop, work computer, and VPS all at the same time to avoid the task of having to remove the auth key from one machine to use it on another.

But Rsbots.net doe not allow us to do this. Why you might ask?

Well, if your auth key is on more than one machine, Rsbots.net has no way to know that the machines using the auth key belong to the owner of the key.

Why does Rsbots.net re-issue keys?

Rsbots.net needs to be able to protect you from someone stealing your auth key. This is why the first time your auth key is found on two different IPs you will be re-issued a key and given a warning telling you to keep your auth key only known to yourself and the next time your auth key is found being used on multiple IPs they will ban your auth key.

This gives the customer a fair chance to retrieve their auth if stolen. This is also the approach Rsbots.net took to save themselves the hassle of allowing you to keep your auth key entered into multiple auth panels(yet, running the bot on only one IP) and having to determine whether an auth was stolen or just being misused by the owner.

So as a botter/goldfarmer, you're probably not willing to buy an auth for every account you bot on. There is a way to avoid spending money you really don't have to.

Rule to Running Multiple Bots on One Auth

Keep your auth key clear off all auth panels BUT ONE. Doing this will prevent you from having your auth re-issued the first time and banned after that.

Imagine you have 4 accounts you would like to bot mining with by running a mining bot. You have one auth key for Rsbots.net's AutoMiner Pro.

Running your 4 accounts using 4 different machines on different IPs will get your key re-issued and then banned.

What You Need To Do:
If you have one auth for 4 accounts, you will need to open 4 different bot clients and let one account run on each bot client. By doing this, you are not using a different IP; you are using one machine on one IP.

This is definitely bad for your machine because running multiple bots can use a lot of your computer's resources.

What You Can Also Do:
If you have two auth keys for your 4 accounts, you will be able to bot on 2 accounts per bot client;thus, only need to open 2 bot clients.

This will use half the resources had you only one auth and had to run all 4 accounts individually on a bot client.

So you see: buying a second, third, fourth, etc. auth key might be a better choice than saving the money and not being able to use your machine's full capacity( ex: a VPS being able to run more bots by using multiple auths because of a smaller requirement of resources for each bot).

Okay I think I understand. Lol. So if I take my auth key off of the auth panel on this computer and I just put it on the auth panel on my vps, I should be okay? Lol right?

Buying a VPS off botvps is like taking your money and shoving it up a fat ugly girls nasty ass rotten taco bell smelling vagina never to be seen again.

The guy who runs it plays stupid like he doesn't know his VPS fucking suck.

 

So if I want to run an SW bot, a mining bot at LRC, and one other random bot (combat bot, or agility bot or something) could I get away with a warp 2?

 

Nope, you'd probably need 2gigs of ram, as LRC eats so much when world is full, same with SW.

What plan should I get?
