VPSes for botting - Talk about them here!

I do run it on the low. I have seen it hit about 800MB, but typically it seems to be staying at 1GB. I wouldn't expect anything less then 800MB to be realistic though, when SG bots are about 500MB.

I do second photon, I got impatient for waiting for them to get back in stock and went with another VPS and really wish I hadn't.


I have a question for you guys though.I've read you should keep the CPU settings in RS on "maximum" and I've heard you should keep it on "very low", which is it? To me keeping it on very low doesn't seem to make sense, but it's stickied up on rsbots.net forum under sorc garden for settings to use.

 

How much CPU do you need for botting? I had 500 MHz, cpu usage was 619% (I think 500 MHz is the min. requirment for RS), With 1 GHz, cpu usage was 129%. Now I have the VPS as a seedbox and MC server.

 

It sounds like 4gigs is enough for 4-8 bots of some kinds.

So i've been using xen warp 3 package to run 5 sorc garden bots all high success rates for 3 days and all of a sudden my vps is really struggling.. like even starting up the client I can tell its lagging a lot more then usual. Opening programs takes longer etc. What is happening.. why all of a sudden is it struggling?

 

For those Xen packages, are those monthly fees or one time fees?

How do I reboot the vps?

 

Login into your control panel, link to your control panel is in the email they sent you with the VPS information. You'll have a reboot option in there.

 

Good news, PhotonVPS has re-stocked Xen - Warp 3 and Warp 4 VPS packages!

I rebooted but now when I try to access my vps I get this error message:

Connection refused: connect()

I ordered my VPS at Photon, since I didn't had any cash in my paypal I had to transfer it from my bank.
Today, I finally received and e-mail from paypal that is was complete.

Clicked on the payment, and I saw another site than Photon,

I'd say about 4 with warp 3, and about 8 with warp 4.
