VOTE HERE -- New Logo and Background Design Competition

If the design that looks like it's going to win, wins, I assume we're going to still have the option to use the old designs?

 

I like what Alt made, I just like Moonglare's more. Not everyone likes simple.

 

^my thoughts too, the minimalistic design alt came up with might be aesthetically pleasing to people who like simplistic art, but we're not trying to appeal to one's artistic nature. We should go for flashy, borderline gaudy. We should go for eye grabbers, designs that make new users say "HOLY SHIT THIS SITE IS FUCKING COOL". This is a runescape forum after all, not a museum

 

Voted for #3 because I like the background. Kina's stuff is nice but I'm not sure the logos will blend right with the site layout.

I like this one of Alt's, although if he could remake it a little larger so it fits the current Sythe logo size that would be better.




By the way why did you all use puush but have JPEG enabled instead of PNG? -.-

Firstly, sorry for posting on this account, I made this account when I wanted to report someone anonymously, I didn't create this to ban evade.

On the original thread I stated I had made a new background + logo because I didn't like my original one.

I never actually created an account to ban evade, though.
Both of my accounts were made a long time ago.

EDIT: Not trying to question my ban, I was just saying haha.

Just like to say,

Some of the leading logos are A BIG disappointment.

Makes me think all their "SUPER" Designs are just a word flip/edit. And colour balance on top.

Yes it should, you still logged on to the account when you were banned on another. It's just as bad as creating an account while banned.

 

I think it is a popularity contest..

At the beginning Sythe should have said, no disclosing entries, therefore it would be fully anonymous..

 

Yeah but the person already sent it to all his friends (in PM) so that would have done nothing.

 

thats why i said at the start he should have said no disclosing, and if they'd been found to have done so, removed from the competition..

 

This is what I mean with a .psd guideline that we all must've gotten so we did not get these issues.

Voted 6 - keep in mind that whatever wins is what you guys are gonna be seeing for the forseeable future.

 

But does it really matter? It not like after someone wins they won't be able to make edits to fit Sythe's needs. What we made can be called a 'preview'

 

This right here. You act like the original artist can't make edits to finalize their product.
