Ultimate Beginner Guide to Torrents!

Hmm, I wonder what other helpful guides I could write...ah well. Any more responses? Constructive criticism never hurts :O

You sorta dragged on what could of been a really simple explanation. Give people something to learn, not just given info.
'Information learned is far more valuable that information given.'

Although this is a very well written guide! Nice work.

Hmm, I definitely see where you're coming from. I was kind of intending this for a very beginner audience, because many of my friends IRL have some small problem with downloading the torrents, be it they don't understand how to use the torrent tracker, or they run into some weird downloading issue, or they have fear of getting their IP's discovered [nubs]. But if you could point me to a specific section that seems very dragged out, I'd really appreciate that - I'd definitely modify it ASAP! :)

Ty for your input ^^

Bitlord is NOT a BT "tracker" it is a BT client like Utorrent or Vuze (Azureus)

A tracker would be the server or what ever that sends bits of data to the client to tell it what clients (peers) to connect to.

Good observation. My fault, didn't re-read that part :(

There isn't a specific section thats dragged out. I know you put a lot of effort in this guide, and gave a very in-depth explanation, but most of the time people are intimidated by a large post. Making it seem more complicated than what it really is.

Hmm, fair enough. I guess I see where you're coming from. But there are a lot of details that people sometimes get wrong, and that can cost them dearly (like not getting PG2 - I don't know many people who own it, and they sometimes get caught), etc. But yeah, I definitely see your point in that it may seem more complicated than it is; but for a beginner, it may be sort of complicated as it is.

Wow Matt, this is a very good guide.

You told me to read it because of the Torrent you showed me, and so I hope it helps.
I'm uncertain about a few things, so can you clarify it to me on MSN?

Thanks Matt, 10.01/10

Thank ya ;) Sure, I'll clarify :D Talk to me ^_^

Useful guide to those who aren't familiar with torrents. It even taught me some new things. Torrents > Limewire.
