Ok ok mein fuhrer , what does that have to do with OP?

People still deserve the right to know why, often times simply asking the user in question will get you a crock of shit answer.

 

Personally (I don't think) I have ever traded with someone with a TWC but in my opinion, take Folt for example. Just out of curiosity I read why he has a TWC and personally I would feel no less safe trading with him than if he didn't have it. I'd still evaluate him on join date, post count, character, vouches, etc but the TWC really doesn't mean anything. I don't know much about the name sales market but what he did to "compete in that cutthroat environment" doesn't really make me think he'll be less likely to pay me after a transaction or things of the like.

Sure, a TWC is a TWC in the sense that ALL of them should be linked or have their reason displayed. I'm not quite sure what you mean, Roary, when you say they should be treated equally. This suggestion seems to be purely for the purpose of letting users know why someone has a TWC, not to discuss the worth or validation of said TWCs.

 

Tbh not really. We trust people more or less depending of the TWC reason. Its true that the people with TWC should be traded with CAUTION, however, some might be better to trade than others. I support this suggestion.

 

I disagree with this as well. I've got a massive network of users that turned their heads when they seen I had a TWC now. I did some explaining and linked them the reasoning. After people read through why I have it now, it helped them understand that they can still rely on me to be that responsible middleman, names/gold seller, or account salesman.

A TWC stamp on the profile should definitely yield excessive caution, but it would be helpful if users could easily identify why it's there because it would save a lot of repetitive conversation.

I definitely support this. Some TWC's are given out for far harsher things then others.

 

Support. It allows other users to know why the TWC users have the 'TWC'. I always wanted to know the reason(s) for each TWC user.

You're acting like it's your first time being reported for a twc when you've been reported 4 times.

One report for not paying for graphics you asked for.
Another report for begging then raging on elena to deliver rsgp to your customers
Another report by fendle for trying to scam rsgp
Another report by Ifreshmez warning people you might be impostering yourself.


And on topic, yes TwC goes hand in hand with trust. You don't get a TwC for being mad on skype, you get a TwC because you are a legitimate sketchy user. As proven by the 4 previous reports that you are.

 

I think a link to the report so the user can decide if the TWC was fair or not would be nice to see.

 

Nice research, some of those reports are very old.

1st report (recent):
Graphics were taken from the internet and I didn't like his attitude, would have paid the $2 if he was a little more patient. Didn't get TWC this time.

2nd report (2013 or 2012):
That TWC was unfair, it was removed the day after. I wanted her to give GP to my customer because I didn't have a safe account at that time due to a 1b wipe. I was not nice to her on Skype because she refused. That's why I was given the TWC and thats why it was removed the day after.

3rd report (2013 or 2012):
Don't remember where it was about. Also that report never gave me a TWC.

4th report(2013 or 2012):
People were impostering me because I was active in the market. Not anymore. Also that report never gave me a TWC.


ONTOPIC:
TWC does not go hand in hand with trust. This is a quote from a staff member on skype.

That staff member only looks at the report itself. Not at the user which means that the user might actually be a trustworthy user.

 

I got one for saying 'who wouldnt scam a phat if they had the opportunity', i also got one for either having a dodgy business partner (in staff's opinions) or for skemming a dollar, cant even remember lol.

Phat scammer > dodgy business partner > dollar skem.

They shouldnt be treated equally at all.

After reading the posts - not only should all TWC'a be treated the same, every use should be treated the same, with a caution rank or not. You should always be cautious of your trades and use smart trading practices within. I don't think singling out one user group should just be it, because I am cautious with whoever I trade, no matter it be a global or a newcomer.

Although, I do think at least a link on the signature should suffice.

 

why not just require all TWC'd members to have a link to the TWC thread in their signature? Easier to implement, and there would be no excuse as to why it wouldnt be there.

 

Guys what about same thing but with banned users too. Less necessary but a lot of people are wondering where did this user go, why is he banned. We could click on the banned rank to have the reasons of his ban (or have something saying : the reasons are kept private. If a mod feel it cannot be made public)

So you're saying, that you'd be more cautious in trading a person who apparently scammed a dollar, than someone who scammed a partyhat? Please...

 

The reasons may not be equal but prople with the TWC should be treated equally. Deal with the punishment and learn from your mistakes.

 

So basically a trade with caution rank is not given because one should be traded with caution but it's more like a punishment that causes other people to think that one should be traded with caution.

 

No, it is a punishment for being sketchy that's put in place to protect other users
