To all the newcomers, please read.

I was banned for 24 hours after multiple hours of harassment from multiple individuals including but not limited to mods and ex mods alike.

I was banned with this statement attached:
"You have been banned for the following reason: Temp ban for your own good. You're getting way too fed up. Go outside for some fresh air, and relax a bit. What you're currently doing is not healthy for your body and mental health."

As far as I'm aware no mod is allowed to ban someone who hasn't violated the rules,
and when rules are broken they have guidelines on how to deal with those scenarios.
I have my suspicions on who the mod who banned me is, however I will not state their name as I cannot
100% state as a fact that he is the culprit.

So to all the new users who check out this website, please let these facts soak in.
I didn't like the way a situation was handled, and i posted about it. that resulted in hours of harassment
and ultimately a 24 hour ban against me (the victim).

I received a message to kill myself, that individual has yet to be banned for such a serious violation.
The individuals who spent hours harassing me, never banned, for all i know never even disciplined,
but i can't say the latter definitively.

My experience here has been unwelcoming by most.
I feel disgust for the leadership among this community and i encourage all newcomers to find a different site. this is the only suggestion i can give at this point, as i have yet to thoroughly plan a system in which this poorly ran website could be redeemed. i will work on that, however. i will set that goal because and only because this website is not a small domain, but a large place with a large community which will only draw more people into it, I'd hate to see more newcomers to this website get the mistreatment i received.

As for anyone who wishes to attempt to belittle me, harass me, flame me, or otherwise insult me on this thread, know that i will not be responding. Its just not worth feeding into.

The above link is a copy of the sites rules and penalty system. I advise all newcomers to read it, as well all staff and veteran individuals to re-read it, because I think a large amount of said individuals may have forgotten about them.

From what I could tell you started with making multiple threads raging at staff members. I didn't read them, but I'm sure they weren't necessary.

I read through your thread just recently, I don't know if you didn't realise but your responses actually were flaming the community members and staff who tried to respond to your feedback. In future try and edit your previous post; if you see the right top corner of all your posts will have 'edit' you can click this and add on to a previous post, instead of multi-posting as this is sometimes determined as spam and can get you infracted as a result.

I'd like to also let you know the user who pm'd you about an axe was not in no way had any malicious intention to tell you to "kill yourself", his reference to an axe was of a humorous joke, a meme of some sort just a phrase. I'm 100% sure he no way in any means meant to offend you. It's unfortunate you assumed he meant that you should hurt yourself in any way. In future please try and not judge something and presume such things about people who respond to you. If you feel you were being flamed simply report the pm (via taking a screenshot) and clicking the report button on said persons profile - due to the pm system report button not working currently. If you dislike what any individual is saying to you in future, please know you can simply add that person to a block/ignore list.

I'm sorry that your first impressions of the site are negative. It should be made clear again that staff do have other things including IRL things and general community participation to be involved in. It is not every day that they can be hand-and-foot on all our requests. An individual did not have his report answered for 6 hours; I was quick to notice this and to directly message a staff member in the Unofficial Discord to get that sorted promptly.

I believe the reason why you was banned; was more of a tactic to calm you down, for your own good in the sense that with the way you was behaving, telling individuals new members that you feel negatively about the site, or making multiple threads with the same agenda is a negative way to get your words across.

We have to remember that there are hundreds of individuals, with thousands of reports; pardons; disputes; recoveries; spam reports; ban evader reports; staff related concerns that they have to tackle and deal with on a day to day basis. We must also remember that these members have given up hours of their days to help aid this community; without pay.

The rules are there, and they also apply to you. Yes understandable you wish to give your feedback, but you should expect feedback pertaining to your OP to be given in return, and you should not resort to cursing and flaming to get your point across as it does no good rather than make you look like you are causing drama and are trying to harass individuals. You have an opinion, but so do the staff and other community members here.

If you feel people are targeting you in the Spam Forum you can simply report them and say you are not willingly partaking in that forum and you don't wish to be tagged, remember you can ignore people.

In future you should and can visit the Unofficial discord here a lot of the staff members are much quicker to respond; and are active here. It works like a chat. It is unofficial so expect that some trolling can happen as there isn't many restrictions regarding rules. You can also visit the #help channel and myself and many other members and staff can aid you in questions or concerns you have.

If you need anything else or help, you can always pm me and we can work towards things and concerns you have as well.

 

@Sonia why bother? he's not taking anything constructively he's just spamming threads moaning no matter what, we've tried that approach..

 

Hi @Realist All feedback whether you feel is just "moaning" is very important feedback for the community development team, and the staff so we can better aid individuals to understand the concept of the community we have here, the rules and how best to tackle situations like thus when new members are confused, and concerned about their attempts to get their voice heard. Rather than belittlement from the rest of the community members I expect a lot more maturity from our community. Yes OP can better his tactics in trying to get his point across, but it works both ways, from community and staff and OP.

 

hi @Sonia if you were following the situation which you clearly aren't you'd know this is a unique situation, none of his threads are feedback. he initially began moaning about a report not being handled within 40minutes to which he was responded with mods have irl lives too etc, he then started spamming threads about every member/mod that addressed his initial 'feedback' thread

 

i understand the spamming portion; i understand its possible that scotty didn't mean kill myself. i understand my responses were mostly anger driven, (justly so, but still presented very poorly). i also understand that the ban i received was an abuse of authority. nowhere in the rules does it say i can be banned for that reason. anyway, i'm done using this site. i will merely be an observer so that i may eventually fix its problems and protect newcomers from abuse.

if you hadn't been temp banned you would've made 20+ threads, you aren't receptive to anything that's said to you if it's not what you want to hear, stop being immature..

 

I 100% agree with you, this is a problem with the current staff. malakadang has sent me some nasty threats in the past and the reports I've sent in have had no resolution.

I'm aware of the situation. That does not mean feedback is then put aside. A simple way of responding would be reporting the multiple threads; rather than have the community respond in immature ways. Just look at a few posts of this thread already. Understanding that OP was or is confused, felt attacked etc is necessary in understanding his opinion of the situation. What I'm trying to say is there is high immaturity from all perspective being made, here as well as in those previous threads. Again that's why I've stated his attempts at getting across will and can be seen as flaming, harassment and to cause drama and disturbances. The rules goes both ways.

@divinetaco121 Sometimes and it is possible that the staff can ban a person at their own discretion. There can be a multitude of events that can occur where a situation is not as actively present but can result in a ban or an infraction to 1)help the community in a situation 2) help yourself in a situation.

I'll give you an example here; if you think about IRL the police/cops will detain you for your own good/benefit/safety etc. when it is necessary to do so. The concept is similar.

EDIT:

It is totally understandable that you choose/wish to take a step back and just observe the community. Perhaps in your observation you may realise that the community is not so bad and neither are the staff. If you wish to move forward from this place then I suggest you do so by putting this behind you; you've accepted that mistakes were made on your behalf. You're very new to the community and it can be hard to adjust to a strong minded, very opinionated community that we have. But please do rethink how you think of us, and take your time to explore the community and the behaviours of the community; before you take this route to be determined in deterring further members in joining as honestly that wont help you better the community, or the site, or the way the Staff approach things in future. There is a difference between wanting change, and just attempts at slandering a community based on a one time experience. (There are a few ex-mods that have the general concept from many years of being on site and have opinionated views of the staff already - you should not take these opinions as your own, take a little bit more time to understand the community and the staff)

 

If i was in charge of the site, and i came a cross an individual in my current situation. that mod wouldnt be a mod anymore. Inf act, being an admin in a TS3 server for around 4 years with over 200 members in it... i have definitely taken away privileges from those who have abused their authority in a manor similar to this. however, i am not in charge here. all i can do is put out my opinion. see sonia, when i see a feedback forum here's what i think: I make a thread, the post is about that topic. letting others know my opinion on that situation or topic. that thread isn't about me, its not about other peoples opinions about my opinion. that individual thread is about my opinion.

see, i dont think it makes any sense for me to say what i think, and then anyone who disagrees argues with it. i think it makes sense to voice my opinion, and whoever comes through and reads it can agree or disagree. give it a like or a dislike. but in general, ones opinion on situation shouldnt be changed just because other individuals disagree with them. thats a flawed thought process to have. sometimes it just feels good to write how youre feeling, what you think about something (like leaving feedback), and not have to read about how people disagree with you.

i shouldnt be called a whine baby, a bitch, or any such thing. i shouldnt be harassed because i disagree with the opinions of others here on my post. thats just illogical.
these feedback forums should have an option. an option that gives the OP the ability to deny others from posting and only allowing a like or a dislike.

i didnt post here to gain any constructive criticism. i have gained some knowledge, thanky ou for the edit option-it makes sense, ill give you that. i posted here to let people know how i felt, not to be judged for it or told im wrong.

If you was the owner of this site; you would be accepting of all feedback; meaning if you've posted to express your feedback or deter members from the site. Then you will accept feedback in return. Our lovely friend @Sythe is very accepting of all feedback, good, bad, troll, critical anything; the owner also can take feedback, he has too. In the feedback section.. I understand if you feel you just wish to voice your opinion, but your opinions effect our community and the staff in the sense that you are thinking negatively and then that negativity stems onto a behaviour were you feel it is acceptable to deter members to join based on your experience. There are hundreds of members here who have not necessarily experienced what you did, because they didn't tackle any issues the way you have.

You should be able to accept that people are allowed opinions, have feedback in regards to your feedback. We all have freedom of speech here (limited in some extent). If you choose to read that feedback it's up to you, I personally would not give feedback and not expect some back. Totally understand that you want to just post what you're thinking; but if individuals do respond (i.e. as they have done on this thread) you either simply completely ignore it by not taking it into account; or you do what you're attempting to do and judge the whole community based on it (by observing).

I'm not saying your opinion should change, you're very entitled to your opinion. I'm just trying to aid you in your views of the community as you've struggled over the past two days to understand the staff and the community in response to anything you've posted. Personally as a result I feel obliged to try and help you as a result. It is something that comes naturally as apart of being in the Community Development Team. But also I just wish to voice my feedback to you on your behaviour, your post, because I'm entitled to do so. Although I mean if you want to suggest a change in that; you can go ahead and do so in the Suggestions section.

You posted here to give your opinion on the community. The community are therefore entitled to give their opinion on you. You posted to deter new members based on a one time experience you received, which is partially as a result of your actions. As someone who is trying to develop the community from the inside; it is very important to me to understand your concern and try and aid you in resolving it. I don't expect you to change your opinion, but for you to at least try and understand that feedback on you can happen, that the community isn't always necessarily as immature and there are people here that can help you when you need it. Just try and take a few moments to better understand the community and staff before you straight out tell people not to join the forum.

 

I did miss behave. Staff also miss behaved. ex mods and current mods throwing out toxic comments. in a manor similar to mine, are they not expected to have a higher standard than a newcomer? a ban on the victim of hours of abuse. no, im not the owner, but thats not how any site should be ran. you are entitled to voice your opinion, however thats not what this thread is about. this thread is supposed to be about my opinion, your opinion should be on your thread, that only seems logical.

my first, second and third impression of this community are terrible. as ive stated in the OP, my goal is simply to watch, record, and create a new system. see, after enough time of documenting and screen shotting.. when i finally have a system i feel will A: be accepted by the administrators and B: will effectively deal with serious flaws in the current way this domain is managed i will come forward with a very comprehensive, detailed document.
until then, i will just sit back and watch.

so drop all the feedback you like about me. ill only be here to document screenshot and report violations of the rules. consider me a Mod without authority or official title. a vigilante if you will.

 

I can comment; if you can see, I can post in response to you. I can quote you and I can respond as a result, so please accept that I can give you feedback based upon your OP and posts made in this thread here. That is very logical of a forum, a community and an accessible feedback section to all members. I stated multiple times that behaviour from all parties in my eyes could of been better. There was immaturity from all aspects. A ban to help you, detain you for your own good.

Please do not call yourself a mod as impersonations will get you in trouble. You are definitely allowed to report and do whatever project you wish to uphold. Try get some people who are evading their bans, report those people, and if you happen to come across some scammers too you can definitely report those people. @Wortel @Yousuckv2 are very good at this.

 

detain me for my own good? no. it didnt help me at all. all it did was make me feel even worse than i already did from the harassment. a couple brand new fresh cuts in my skin. im done conversing.
