To all christians

Radical Islamics. Crusades. Mayans. The Holocaust. Religion kills millions. It DOES hurt people. Many people. The world would be a much better place without it.

 

What does that matter? The point of the matter is the churches are the ones to take those steps to organize these events for the greater good. All those things were done for the greater good under the churches name.

 

The Holocaust?

 

While I don't think it would be entirely fair to say that the holocaust was an event whose sole cause was religion, religion did play a big role in it.

1. There was the a little bit of devil inside of each and every one of them.

2. Earth.

3. He makes G.O.O.D Music. (Kanye)

4. You let it happen, he sends you to your proper destination.

 

People will use religion, distort it, to bend people to their will. People just need to remember the basics of what the religious texts are actually teaching, again the morality, values, and ethics.

Most religions have some sort of concept of self-sacrifice.

 

I've often asked the same questions to Christians and Catholics, OP, but I never get a valid response. None of them can answer it. They always reply: "I do not know, but I will know once all the world's knowledge is given to me by God in heaven after I die."

 

I know religion had a part in it, but can you really say it was the Jews' fault that Hitler hated them?

 

I think he was referring to Hitler's belief (or at least claim) that he was 'fighting for the Lord'.

 

Religion has never made sense to me and still doesn't which is why I will continue to be an atheist.

 

The Crusades- The Holy Wars

That is one example of the hundreds of wars fought over religion.

 

You can't possibly base a religion, or any group/organization, off an event that happened 700 years ago.

 

I didn't, I'm just saying it brings trouble. What about radical Muslims?

The KKK? They are based on Christianity.

 

Based on doesn't make it Christianity. They've taken something good, and twisted it to what they've wanted it to be. It's not comparable.

 

But still, it's religion's fault that Hitler misunderstood?

EXACTLY.

 

The point is that religion was and is the cause of countless wars and deaths.

 

And the cause of countless lives saved.

 

And religion will be the cause of countless wars and death. Religion creates a "virtual" difference between human beings and they hate each other because they don't believe in the same thing...

 

I'd love to hear some examples.
