"As a worker, you may not provide services for more than one active service thread; this means you may not bump your own thread while working for another service thread."
I disagree with this new rule for the following reasons:
- It used to be allowed FOR YEARS to provide infernal cape services for multiple service discords/sites/servers as long as the cape provider (who capes under their own thread) did not set up or sell the customer and was subcontracted the order.
- IF applied this rule should be applied equally to ALL runescape services if enforced since it's a double standard and inconvenience only for the infernal cape community as of now.
- If this is to be equitably enforced, how would you catch people violating the rules? What would stop a server from sending a new "caper" every day for orders who can reply to the tickets themselves and cape for as many servers as they want since they don't have a thread.
-Since the majority of service discords have infernal cape threads, infernal capers are forced to choose if they can sell their own service or are tied down to 1 server exclusively. This severely limits their earning potential and from my personal experience no single server no matter the size can supply enough capes to occupy the time capers have available to fill orders.
-This rule lowers the overall quality of service since service discords and cape providers would need to part ways bringing in a wave of new unvetted providers to fill a vacuum of orders.
I've been providing infernal cape services for dozens of sites/servers over the past 4 years and have actively spoken to sythe admins to make sure I am within the rules up to this point. I strongly believe this is a poorly implemented new rule and have a suggestion to improve the current climate of the infernal cape threads.
There should be no limit to the number of threads an infernal caper can provide services for as long as they are not using their name/brand/thread to secure the sale. it should be allowed under the condition that the infernal cape provider isn't involved in the sale of the cape AT ALL, no replying to tickets, answering faq, no gear questions etc, only the fulfillment of the paid order. Ticket support, owners, or live chat workers should have to set up and sell the orders and then be able to subcontract the order to a reputable caper of their choice if t.o.s. permits it.
