Thoughts on Infernal Cape Threads

Not trying to hate but this is just another example of staff team being unaware how business works in runescape market. Might be time to get some professionals, that have worked with bigger projects than 1000$/month service discords....

This rule doesn't make any sense for me.
From what other people have said and own experience, trustworthy Good capers are relatively few in number so it makes sense that they are active for multiple service providers.

With this rule implemented you compromise the whole thing, scapers have to choose which provider to work for and other providers have to either look for new capers who are possibly more likely to scam/deliver low quality service, or give up on the service due not wanting to deal with the risk it can bring.

Also agreed on the comment regarding skilling workers being the same thing, it is double standards and won't do any good for anybody.

So, support to get this rule reversed/removed.

No support. Would get rid of spam threads for people advertising capes who can't do them, then just marking up the price.

 

It isn't spam threads though? What they want is a new caper for every discord that offers it. Why not allow the same worker to do the same content throughout different servers, just like a standard worker? Infernals are quite an exception since it's usually region locked for the caper + high skill required. We rely on a couple of trusted capers to do our capers and it isn't outsourced. They're still a worker in the server, just across multiple servers.

 

I don't mean to jump in but I was told a year or two ago that I couldn't bump my post for services if I wasn't available to do the order. For reference, I provide a little solo service here and there and if I was working on an order I couldn't bump my post until I was free to do another. So IMO as long as the caper has no orders to complete I see no issue with them working for multiple providers/themselves to gain a wider scope of customers. Otherwise the orders will be spread more thin across Sythe and the overall value of the cape will continue to drop. Plus as mentioned many more scams on the weary.

 

Thing is with capes, it's usually scheduled capes. So it's not like a 'normal' order. They're always pretty much available to schedule a cape.

 

My reply when it happend to me was, "I'm not allowed to have a que of orders? even if they don't mind waiting?" and mods told me no. Which kind of upset me because I'm solo and I simply cannot wait till I finish a service to bump a post then again wait till I'm contacted. It was so much easier to have a bunch of people who wanted it done and let them know when they'd be next. I didn't even take money for the orders till I started them either so I don't understand what the issue was. Too much down time is what killed it for me to be honest.
