The "War" in Iraq

Aperantly I dont know much about the US. And aperantly the us isnt a free country after all, and aperantly they arent fighting for their rights afterall, if what your saying is the truth.

its a fact that if you dont go where the army tells you, if they tell you to go to germany and you dont go, then you can be put in jail.

it is my opinion that people enroll themselves in the army so they can fight for american rights.

but maybe, they really enroll to kill people because maybe it gives them satisfaction. i dont kno. all im saying is that if i were to go tot he army, it would be to help my country, not to fight a war thats not there.

Your reason to be in the army, should be to make the world a better place for us all, and not so much to help out your country.
I think its selfish of you to say, that your fighting for your country, and not for the people of which country you are fighting in.

usually, in a war..
there are 2 sides and you are obviously going to support your countrys side, or else you wouldn't put yourself in their army...
maybe not in this war, but i was saying in general...
why would you want to help the people in a war if you were trying to opose their side of what ever the war is about?
i should have made it more clear that i was talking about general war...not the 1 in iraq...

It is a fact. The war is being paid for on credit. It is going straight to our national debt. Our children, and theirs also, will have to suffer outrageous taxes to repair this debt.

The war also hurts the credit of the U.S. with other nations. Being American is a standing joke in most European countries at the moment.

Those who control the oil companies, by controlling the supply of oil, control the prices also. The supply is not in any real danger, yet by lowering it a little bit, prices have risen dramatically. Higher prices = more profit.
The oil supply is not in any real danger. Are you an idiot or do you not know your geography? Iran would love to have us pull out of Iraq right now. Saudi Arabia is crying for us to stay. Why? Not for oil, they have their own. It's for control of the area and the oil resources in the area. That's why we're there and why we're staying.

Yes I understand, I just thought we were talking specifically about the war in Iraq, where the US are suposed to help out the people.

Iran would love to have you out of the war, not because of the oil, but because this is a greate chance for them to turn Iraq shia, since it will be highly unstabil if the american troops leave (not that it isnt already).
Saudi Arabia has never commented on this war, and have never asked you to stay.
The saudish government are allied to the american government and are suported by them in every single way, so for you to say Saudi Arabia is saying America.
But even the people in Saudi Arabia do not care about wether the americans stays or not.
They just want them to do what they are there to do, which it suposed to be helping, something that isnt happening as it should be happening.

The Saudish people feel the same towards the american troops and america as the Iraqis them selfs.

You guys are complete incompetent idiots. US citizens are not forced to fight, it's your FREE CHOICE to enroll in the army, nation guard, marines, air force or anything else. Yes, if you enroll, they will deploy you to where you are needed. When people enroll, they know what they are getting themselves into, and for the people who don't, most of them probably quit, which you can do at basically any time. Enrolling isn't like being in a prison or being taken control of, you have just as many rights as before and you have just as much of a free choice as before.

Secondly, Kypton6, you first kept saying the US should leave, that everyone wants them out. Now, you are saying the US has to stay to have a chance for the country to survive? Make up your mind mate.

You are fighting for your country, it isn't selfish to say that. In this instance, yes, we are also fighting for the people of Iraq, but in fighting for our country we are fighting for another. You don't seem to comprehend that concept very well.

dorito, ur so dumb ffs..
krypton said every1 WANTS them out..but we NEED to be there is what he is saying or it will make iraq even more unstable.
they cant just quit..
your a complete and total idiot if u think they can, cuz u obviously have no clue what your talking about.
after enrolling yourself, they tell you where you need to go..
if u quit, they come after you and u have to go to court, and may be jailed...
btw, it national guard, not nations guard...

As a strong Republican, I still support Bush. You guys are going to say, "our troops are stuck over there or whatever". Well I know, my older brother is currently serving in the U.S Air Force in Iraq. The news doesn't display it, but the millions of Iraq citizens are happy we are over there, besides the small group of terrorists. So in all, yes I think we should stay in Iraq, but we should set a timeline to get out in the next couple years. As another thing, saying we invaded Iraq for the oil? That's like saying September11th was fucking planned. The government is being given an evil side, just because people disagree with them.

First Republican I've seen on Sythe, because I am Conservative myself.

Regarding the quote you took from Nick -

Are you fucking insane? How can you say that the people are happy and like the american soldiers when trully you have no idea.
Never have I heard an iraqi spoken nicely about an american soldier, and I bet you havent either, other than the lies that your brother is aperantly telling you.

America is stealing the oil in one way or another, and 9/11 could easely have bin planned by the american government. There are many proves of that.

Why the hell should i learn english when im not english, and when its not even my own language. How many times have I told you this!
And I thought it was good bye, but seems like u keep posting.

Gnomey - Do you really expect of me to respond to that 1 Billion line text? Try make it shorter next time.
And regarding the oil thing, go to wikidpedia its written there.

Anyone can edit a Wikipedia site. That is a horrible source. Mine was from OPEC itself, you can't beat it.

I don't want any of your lie spewing babble of a responce. Theres a reason its a billion lines, you're a whole lot of idiot.

Was kind of curious why Dorito reposted in here, and he is correct. The armed services offer many incentives to join like college tuition aid, etc. Once you join and take advantage of their offer for a paid for education, then yes WOW you can't just leave because you don't like where you're assigned.

And in addition, when people make long posts on Sythe refuting the babbling idocy that seems to flow from the mind of you and Krypton, grammar kind of takes a bad seat. Seeing as to how you used the word "cuz" in your post, you have no right to critisize someone elses grammar.

Dorito, just move on haha. If they want to have fun trying to make themselves the bigger idiot, let them lol.

Adios.

Okay... so people join the military during war-time...
do they not expect to go to war? ROFL
or did they just want their college to be paid for?

I don't see why people are arguing about all of these side points. If you enroll in the Army, you'll very quickly be shipped over to Iraq. It's inevitable.

Also, about the Iraqi citizens being happy we're there, yes, a large number are, but a very significant part of the population wants us out. Estimates vary from about a third to 70%, but I don't think that that is really relevant.

I really wanted to discuss with those that believe we should have invaded in the beginning why they still hold such views.

The Iruaq war is terribe, and i think that Bush made a bad mistake sending troups over there.

Wikid. is actully greate. Either you´ve understud it wrongly or it was clearly wrong written on your source page. Gimme the link and I´ll see for my self.

"I don't want any of your lie spewing babble of a responce. Theres a reason its a billion lines, you're a whole lot of idiot"

If you expect of me not to respond then you should not be posting 1 billion line texts filled with crap which you´ve taken from comments written by Dorito pages ealier.

"Was kind of curious why Dorito reposted in here, and he is correct. The armed services offer many incentives to join like college tuition aid, etc. Once you join and take advantage of their offer for a paid for education, then yes WOW you can't just leave because you don't like where you're assigned"

So the morons who were given advantage by the army and have probably signes a contract, didnt know that they would not be able to "just leave" ?

"And in addition, when people make long posts on Sythe refuting the babbling idocy that seems to flow from the mind of you and Krypton, grammar kind of takes a bad seat. Seeing as to how you used the word "cuz" in your post, you have no right to critisize someone elses grammar"

So everybody who does not have the same stupid opinion as your self is an idiot? Dorito perhaps you were suposed to tell this guy instead of telling me...
Cuz? As bad as my english is, are you really that bloody stupid that you believe that I cannot spell "because? Cuz is a slang for because your idiot.

I have full right to critisize some ones grammar in english, when its their home language, though you have no right to critisize mine since its not and will never be my home language.

"Dorito, just move on haha. If they want to have fun trying to make themselves the bigger idiot, let them lol."

There we go again calling everyone with difrent opinion than his self a idiot.
I think your the idiot claiming to know something happening half a globe away, when trully your view is only seen through CNN...

Obviously if you think its all about oil you're stupid, ignorant, or both. If thats the case you don't understand your own countries natural resources or economy. Before its taken as flaming, allow me to explain its for your lack of ability to understand numbers. According to the official OPEC site (thats right, not American, its from the outside sources you so revere) is **8TH** in the world oil production, less than **6%** in terms of the worlds production. If we wanted lower oil prices, wouldn't we attack someone like Saudi Arabia who has almost 30% of the worlds oil leaving their country? And Iran is hardly better, only about 10%. For oil sent to North America, Iraq gives less than 7%. (SOURCE: http://www.opec.org/library/Annual Statistical Bulletin/interactive/FileZ/Flowbot.htm and http://www.opec.org/library/Annual Statistical Bulletin/interactive/FileZ/worldmapz.htm) And to top it all off, why would I be paying MORE for a gallon of gas at the pump if we're doing this all for oil? Why would we even PAY them for it? Why would be spend TRILLIONS of dollars on the war for a country with such little oil production? There's no WAY we'll save trillions of dollars from oil imports from what we did. That means your bull about it being all about oil, and that "Nearly all the oil in the world comes from the muslim countries and the middle east.", and thats its all about oil is wrong. But then again, you've been there! Obviously having lived Iraq your knowledge about the feelings of every person there, its history, the imports and exports of the world, the ability to judge its leadership, know about all the construction taking place within the country, the inner workings of the Quaran, the runnings of American Government, Election Process, Foreign Policy, media, and basically country as a whole, and to top it all off your ability to alter time and people so that Osamas attack wasn't because in his mind he was doing it for religion, it was instead the response to an attack that hadn't happened yet are all tip-top. Maybe its a good thing we bombed your schools if you don't understand basic things like math (below), contradiction, and the difference between fact and what you pull out of your a-?

If you're going to make up total BS facts:

Okay, so if by your statement the US, Russia, and Saudia Arabia are the top 3 oil producing countries, and Saudia Arabia only creates 12.5%, then wouldn't the following make sense:

a) Russia and the US must produce at least 12.6% of the oil each.
b) Subtracting the US and Russia from the 100%, there would be at least 74.8% remaining.
c) The 80% you credit to the Middle East is more than 74.8%.
d) If you call it "close enough" then there is no way any country other than Middle Eastern countries, US, and Russia produce oil or it would keep getting further away.
e) If we produce one of the top 3 amounts of oil yet import less than countries like the UK and Japan, why would we even bother picking off a small fry like Iraq when we could go for someone like Saudi Arabia?

You're WRONG.

"Wikid. is actully greate. Either you´ve understud it wrongly or it was clearly wrong written on your source page. Gimme the link and I´ll see for my self."

No, its not. Anyone can edit those pages. Watch the dfficult challenge I faced finding an edit button on the page, getting an irrelevant line, and having it actually appear on the page.

Oops, you're wrong. In my billion word post, which explained exactly why I think you're an idiot (because you're just plain wrong, not even a question of opinion, nor anything taken from Dorito, there are a number of things he said I disagree with. Example: After proving there was no threat under Saddam, I think we should have left Iraq to remain the hellhole it was so we wouldn't put ourselves in the spot of having to create a government by everyones timeline, spend more money within the US on the Katrina disaster area, now the California forest fires, and the over 10% of unemployed citizens within Michigan.) The source is the official OPEC site. OPEC is "The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is a permanent, intergovernmental Organization, created at the Baghdad Conference on September 10–14, 1960."

"I think your the idiot claiming to know something happening half a globe away, when trully your view is only seen through CNN..."

Here you go being a hippocrit again. If you weren't acting like you knew everything about events within the US, you would know that the American news media as pretty much a whole is ANTI WAR, ESPECIALLY CNN AND MSNBC. Don't tell me that through sources that hate war I am for staying in Iraq. You have been complaining the whole time about us being in Iraq right now. If you want us to stay, STOP COMPLAINING. Honestly, its just so hippocritical.

The armed services are real clear about it not being a get free college and quit kind of deal. Its not a secret or fine print. It's not something that should have been unexpected, there probably hasn't been a generation in the US where the Armed Forces have done nothing.

Shredder tends to be a very factual poster in terms of facts, and mentions 70% being happy with us there. Either way, after proving there were no nukes we should have left, but for some reason Bush felt that we could kill two birds with one stone; remove a cruel dictator and get rid of a constant agressor.

No, you have no room to correct other people on their English unless yours is flawless. Thats like telling a cook theres a little bit to much salt on their food when you have to order out every night.

The main point of me originally posting here is I am sick and tired of people saying that this is all "Bush's fault", "its all about oil", or some stupid one like post like "The Iruaq war is terribe, and i think that Bush made a bad mistake sending troups over there." where they contribute nothing to the conversation (and do something else in the process). Congress could have and still can take us out at any time. He went in on a faulty report that they had nuclear weapons. We shouldn't have stayed, but did, and hindsight is 20/20, so its easy to sit back and judge the past. It wasn't over oil, Iraq is a very small part of the oil market and we are spending more on the conflict than we could ever save. To everyone, if you plan on posting, its a discussion, not a babbled one line sentence (or post like "lol! well said?" you're using to get your post count up so imbeciles think you're more trusted).

Mmkay, adios for good, even if you do ask me a direct question or post wrong facts.

Also Wikipedia is just what people add to it, so if people who add to the site are idiots you will be also for reading it...

dorito, ur so dumb ffs..
krypton said every1 WANTS them out..but we NEED to be there is what he is saying or it will make iraq even more unstable.

Thats a lie, you only have that happen if you enroll and accept scolarships and don't go... And even then you still get to choose the field you go in, if you don't want to go you don't have to. Although if you are drafted you may go to jail if you refuse, but that is rare occasions where they are making examples out of people, usaully people are fined.

I don't see why people are arguing about all of these side points. If you enroll in the Army, you'll very quickly be shipped over to Iraq. It's inevitable.
