The oil supply is not in any real danger. Are you an idiot or do you not know your geography? Iran would love to have us pull out of Iraq right now. Saudi Arabia is crying for us to stay. Why? Not for oil, they have their own. It's for control of the area and the oil resources in the area. That's why we're there and why we're staying. It is a fact. The war is being paid for on credit. It is going straight to our national debt. Our children, and theirs also, will have to suffer outrageous taxes to repair this debt.
The war also hurts the credit of the U.S. with other nations. Being American is a standing joke in most European countries at the moment.
Those who control the oil companies, by controlling the supply of oil, control the prices also. The supply is not in any real danger, yet by lowering it a little bit, prices have risen dramatically. Higher prices = more profit.
usually, in a war..
there are 2 sides and you are obviously going to support your countrys side, or else you wouldn't put yourself in their army...
maybe not in this war, but i was saying in general...
why would you want to help the people in a war if you were trying to opose their side of what ever the war is about?
i should have made it more clear that i was talking about general war...not the 1 in iraq...

Well I know, my older brother is currently serving in the U.S Air Force in Iraq. The news doesn't display it, but the millions of Iraq citizens are happy we are over there, besides the small group of terrorists. So in all, yes I think we should stay in Iraq, but we should set a timeline to get out in the next couple years. As another thing, saying we invaded Iraq for the oil? That's like saying September11th was fucking planned. The government is being given an evil side, just because people disagree with them.
Why the hell should i learn english when im not english, and when its not even my own language. How many times have I told you this!
And I thought it was good bye, but seems like u keep posting.
Gnomey - Do you really expect of me to respond to that 1 Billion line text? Try make it shorter next time.
And regarding the oil thing, go to wikidpedia its written there.
Obviously if you think its all about oil you're stupid, ignorant, or both. If thats the case you don't understand your own countries natural resources or economy. Before its taken as flaming, allow me to explain its for your lack of ability to understand numbers. According to the official OPEC site (thats right, not American, its from the outside sources you so revere) is **8TH** in the world oil production, less than **6%** in terms of the worlds production. If we wanted lower oil prices, wouldn't we attack someone like Saudi Arabia who has almost 30% of the worlds oil leaving their country? And Iran is hardly better, only about 10%. For oil sent to North America, Iraq gives less than 7%. (SOURCE: http://www.opec.org/library/Annual Statistical Bulletin/interactive/FileZ/Flowbot.htm and http://www.opec.org/library/Annual Statistical Bulletin/interactive/FileZ/worldmapz.htm) And to top it all off, why would I be paying MORE for a gallon of gas at the pump if we're doing this all for oil? Why would we even PAY them for it? Why would be spend TRILLIONS of dollars on the war for a country with such little oil production? There's no WAY we'll save trillions of dollars from oil imports from what we did. That means your bull about it being all about oil, and that "Nearly all the oil in the world comes from the muslim countries and the middle east.", and thats its all about oil is wrong. But then again, you've been there! Obviously having lived Iraq your knowledge about the feelings of every person there, its history, the imports and exports of the world, the ability to judge its leadership, know about all the construction taking place within the country, the inner workings of the Quaran, the runnings of American Government, Election Process, Foreign Policy, media, and basically country as a whole, and to top it all off your ability to alter time and people so that Osamas attack wasn't because in his mind he was doing it for religion, it was instead the response to an attack that hadn't happened yet are all tip-top. Maybe its a good thing we bombed your schools if you don't understand basic things like math (below), contradiction, and the difference between fact and what you pull out of your a-?
If you're going to make up total BS facts:
Okay, so if by your statement the US, Russia, and Saudia Arabia are the top 3 oil producing countries, and Saudia Arabia only creates 12.5%, then wouldn't the following make sense:
a) Russia and the US must produce at least 12.6% of the oil each.
b) Subtracting the US and Russia from the 100%, there would be at least 74.8% remaining.
c) The 80% you credit to the Middle East is more than 74.8%.
d) If you call it "close enough" then there is no way any country other than Middle Eastern countries, US, and Russia produce oil or it would keep getting further away.
e) If we produce one of the top 3 amounts of oil yet import less than countries like the UK and Japan, why would we even bother picking off a small fry like Iraq when we could go for someone like Saudi Arabia?
You're WRONG.
dorito, ur so dumb ffs..
krypton said every1 WANTS them out..but we NEED to be there is what he is saying or it will make iraq even more unstable.
they cant just quit..
your a complete and total idiot if u think they can, cuz u obviously have no clue what your talking about.
after enrolling yourself, they tell you where you need to go..
if u quit, they come after you and u have to go to court, and may be jailed...
btw, it national guard, not nations guard...
I don't see why people are arguing about all of these side points. If you enroll in the Army, you'll very quickly be shipped over to Iraq. It's inevitable.
Also, about the Iraqi citizens being happy we're there, yes, a large number are, but a very significant part of the population wants us out. Estimates vary from about a third to 70%, but I don't think that that is really relevant.
I really wanted to discuss with those that believe we should have invaded in the beginning why they still hold such views.
