The war in Iraq

Ok i have looked for a thread about the war in Iraq, and couldnt find any. If there is one, and is active lock this.

Anyways, so after September 11th, 2001 the U.S government decided to go to war against Pakistan to take down those responsible. Ok, so we've been hunting for the mastermind behind the attacks, Osama Bin Laden. Supposedly he is dead now. But soon after we started fighting in Pakistan, we entered war against Iraq. Why you might ask? To take down Suddam Hussein. Okay, this is great! We can take down 2 evil dictators who are commiting genocide. But, now that our work is over, we have to help rebuild the countries since we have torn them apart.

I believe it was Afghanistan, not Pakistan, that was invaded in response to the 9/11 attacks.

In fact, as far as I'm aware, Pakistan declared itself an ally to the United States in their war against Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda, and in June 2004, Pakistan became designated a Major Non-NATO ally.

/On topic -

I personally have left myself particularly unopinionated about the war. Living in the UK means that we don't get much unbiased media about it, although I can imagine that this might be the case in the USA too.

Also, I have little to no opinion regarding whether or not Osama is dead.
In my mind it seems a likely possibility that he is dead, but I have not been following this too closely, or at least, not closely enough for me to feel as if I have a right to opinion.

well in the US we have stories that could be true, but dont seem likely. Kind of like when world war II, Hitler was putting all of the Jews into death camps. The americans did not believe this was happening till we went over there.
