The Start

so i'm taking philosophy now, n we're trying to prove God's existence by saying how he created humans, n if nobody created us, we wudn't be living right now. i hate philosophy.

That's not philosophy. Philosophy is basically conceptual analysis, the art of evaluating whether concepts are logically self-consistent.

Unless you're in a religious school that will feed you false logic to "prove" God, you won't actually succeed. Feel free to post it, though, I'd like to see it.

I'm just guessing, but I'd bet there discussing on how we as humans have a conscience, or what seperates our thoughts from the thoughts of animals. something along that sort, probably not actual life, but conscience living.

Are you also referring to instinctual and subconsciousness?

This is where religion comes into play. The unknown.

People fear the unknown and seek comfort, that being their specified deity.

Simple, and quite easy to specify ..

The start, or however someone would want to put it, was already the start before it became known as The Start.

In other words, everything was here. The start was everything, is everything, and will continue to be everything until the never-ending of time. Until you and I die, and until our future siblings and after-life creations die. The start was never not here. If so, a natural, or supernatural cause would have to be an explanation, which is mostly biased through logic, or incorrect.

Unless a flying hot sausage made of Bill Gates glasses and Betty Crocker equipment is imagining us all, which is highly unlikely(not impossible, however, then there is no explanation which one wouldn't hesitate to argue against.

So, the only explanation that someone could honestly believe was that The Start has always been the start. There was no before. Only after .. :]

the first atom ever was god.....it created us all ;P

First, there is no empirical evidence to support what you just said.

Second, you're equating God with an atom?

Third, if everything else had to be created, then so did God.

The Third part completely contridicts the belief that God is eternal.

Because everything had a beginning in no means points to the fact that God had to have had a beginning

Then God is an exception? Fine. I make the universe my exception. It has existed forever, in various states.

Well thats your oppinion, my oppinion is different, it simply leads to more oppinions with no proof that either happened.

Your opinion on who decided God's enternalness is different? I mean even if God is real in whatever form or state, you'd have to agree that we came up with the idea of him being eternal, just as any thought or idea was created by us, otherwise it wouldn't exist.

Matter was created slightly after the big bang. Basically its like this, the whole universe was made of of a ball of pure force. It was a combination of gravity, electromagnetism, strong and weak nuclear energy. Then it blew up. As it spread out gravity and electromagnetism combined to form the tiny little particles that make up atoms (protons, neutrons, electrons, weird things like beta particles and whatnot) So thats it. I'm not 100% sure i'm completely right about that, but, thats pretty close anyway. This is my version of events.

That can be a theory for the creation of matter. Yet what evidence do you have to prove where the other universal forces originated from?

It seems like all of this arguing is quite pointless actually. I believe the theoretical start/end of the universe is something that doesn't need to be pondered upon by humans. There will always be contradictions to any theory created to rationalized the start or end of the universe. Like Jeb said, it's all a big circle.

Ex. You can say something was just existing from the beginning. Scientists have proven it is impossible to create matter.

Such as that, there will always be contradictions.

The Big Bang was the very beginning, even time was created at that point, the only thing I don't understand is what controlled the amount of matter created, all the other things make a lot of sense though.

1337 i see where your coming from but i dont know what you mean when you say. "the only thing I don't understand is what controlled the amount of matter created"

There's an new episode of "The Universe", coming on tonight at 8c. It is supposed to be theories of what was before the Big Bang so to speak. Very good show, I suggest you watch it if you get the chance.

There's a certain amount of matter in the universe, what I'm wondering is why there is that amount, and why it couldn't be different.

Then God is an exception? Fine. I make the universe my exception. It has existed forever, in various states.

The beleif that God is eteranl comes from the thought that God exists outside our universe, where it is possible that time doesn't exist. If you would like to claim that the universe is outside of itself, then go right ahead.

No one decided God's eternalness, God has always been eternal. So if an idea wasn't created by us, then it does not exist?

So i'd just like to say, "Matter cannot be created nor destroyed."

What caused the big bang?

"The Universe" is a little to bias for my taste. I have watched a few episodes, but it often leaves me with just more questions then answers.
