Sythechat and other things

I'm doing a general review of things which are badly or annoyingly broken on the site and fixing these over the next couple of weeks.

Sythechat css issues have been fixed so the application stays in its window properly. I've also improved the login speed.

General cleanup of some caching issues and site speed issues. Will be looking more into this.

Email issues have been fixed. All our email is now running on mailgun and should be much more reliable.

Added referral lookup (click referrals in your postbit or user page.)

Let me know what else has been bugging you and I'll have a look.

That's what threads are for. If someone wants to buy something they go to that market and find people. Sythe chat should be used to chat, as the name suggests.

Edit: Sythe can we have an option to make the chat bigger? I like to keep a distance from my monitor when I'm not gaming, ctrl + scrolling ruins all of my pages. If nobody else has this problem then leave it as it is.

Good job on that, but the list is growing very long at the moment. I was, as well, under the impression that Govind doesn't have permissions to complete a large portion of the list. Sythechat was a huge issue though, hopefully we can actually get some activity on it.

I'm working my way through the todo list in usl. Posting my progress on there as I go.

Sythechat has conversation logging enabled now. I will add a lookup feature to admincp tomorrow that will allow admins to pull sythechat conversations for dispute purposes.

Added IP logging of PMs today as well.

Minor fixes to sythechat interface.

 

Alright. I envision Sythechat being used for trading on-site in the place of Skype/MSN or other outside sources.

The current methods of creating groups are also sub-par. If possible, implementing a tabbed-structure where users can see the most popular (preset) rooms similar to sections on the forums would be the most convenient. Mods would also have kick/ban abilities in their respective "sections." Privatized groups are a priority as well, for things such as CDT/staff/USL.

This could bring a good bit of traffic from the Sythe group chats, help in assisting new users with issues as well as showing more activity overall.

SytheChat was not meant for trading in the sense he is talking about. People go on there and spam the chat with advertisements, and that is not what it is meant for. For trading purposes SC was meant to be used for the fact it is a safer alternative, so people can make their own chats and have the chats logged for admins to see in case of a scam. The main/general chat there was for general chatting, not for advertising/trading.
