An important note to all traders!

Discord has become the communication platform of choice for many users. Unfortunately, with the release of Discord Nitro it has made impostor scamming a widespread issue.

If you are unaware of these issues, please carefully read these threads:

A way to combat this is to have your Unique ID listed as well as a Discord add button. Below is a guide on how to do this.

For client users:

1. Copy this line: Discord://discordapp.com/users/
2. Collect your Unique ID by following this guide: Discord PM Template (Make sure it is your account ID, not a message ID)
3. Paste the Unique ID at the end of the link: Discord://discordapp.com/users/126124901537939456
4. Use the link from Step 3 in a URL shortener of your choice: https://*******.com/create.php
5. You will then have a shortened link: https://*******.com/SytheExample
6. With this link, you can now highlight an Add button of your choice:

2. Highlight the image with your mouse:



3. With the image highlighted, click on the Link button in your formatting tools, a window will pop up, paste the link you made above and click Insert.

Amazing change, I'm gonna get my GFX designer to make my Discord icon in my signature clickable w/ my link!

 

in the meantime, if anyone in this thread knows how to incorporate the discord link with the skype link that's already in my signature to have the icons in my signature act like buttons, please hit me up asap.

 

If they're seperate pictures, you can do it by hyperlinking the discord part of the picture. If they're not seperate, you'll have to seperate them somehow.. I'm not a pro at gfx so can't help you there :/

 

Somthing I've done to avoid impersonating is directing people into my discord channel instead of having them add me, then they can simply add me after verifying I am Owner status of the discord channel. ( they cant steal my discord invite link )
