Sythe has a really shitty community.

I'm not a dick. I'm a pretty cool guy (eh and doesnt afraid of anything) once you get to know me.

I just enforce the rules, and that translates to this whole 'dick' stereotype. Think of me as a cop.

 

Damn, seance i joined in the middle of 07 im more trusted then you. I dont think join date is entirely true because what about noob who joined years ago to scam and they get temp baned then come back and scam. No offense anyone but this is relatively true. and also, sythe.org is a runescape cheating site, theres better places for coding etc.

 

I agree with Blue Summer on everything.. This community is truly shit. I have only come across a few honest people. Even a freaking Official MM scammed me once (Mountain Drew); the first time I ever used a MM, and also the last.

I don't blame the staff for being ill tempered about all of the scammer reports, but they should not be abusive about it. I was told to screw off by one moderator who was not busy when I was seeking urgent help trying to make sure nobody else was scammed by a person.

My opinion for the admins and this board is to appoint new moderators who have experience with sythe.org and tracking down and catching rule breakers (ie users who report in scammers section a lot) to help control the amount of scum on this forum.. And to do IP bans for ALL who are banned for scamming, with rock solid evidence...

I personally think Sythe needs to go professional. We should have a credit card verification system that is like a membership. That way, the person can be a "trial member" or "Payed Member" and if they scam then they get charged for the scam amount.

There would, or should, of course be an email address that should be contacted if a mistake had been made. But that is a very rare case...

X9, the only way to fix this forum, is to remove and add a new database, where EVERYONE starts from scratch. Because that will have everyone untrusted again, forcing them to use a MM. The staff needs to stop being douche's who think they are better then everyone else. Where if someone has been scammed, and ask a mod/admin. they say they are busy, and post in the report a user section. I mean, wtf is the point of that? If they were dedicated they would handle it over msn, so the other person can have his say so to. This forum also needs new rules, and staff..

And tbh..... Very long time ago, when i was on another forum, people would actually say, "i need rsgp, ima go to that retarded site sythe and scam some noob". And i've never even heard of sythe then. I joined a few months ago because that site shut down, and i see that they were right. It is so easy to scam on this site it's not even funny.

A leacher just joins today, and posts, "Buying gp" or "Selling pins" etc etc, and says, I've been scammed, so im not going first. Now other retarded leachers who usually buy that stuff, get scammed and start crying about it. The other leacher gets banned, makes a new acc, and does the exact same thing.

I mean, this whole week, i've been looking for a pin, you can probably still see my threads. Their is a bunch of leacher who say, oh no, im not going first, i was scammed _ this week.

I can write about, 15 pages of bad things about sythe. and maybe a few good things about it. I wrote all of this without thinking at all, it just was fluent and how i was fealing.

And btw, when i say leachers, its not people with 0-30 post count. Its people who joined this month, and spammed and decided to scam.
90% of all new registers on sythe are ban evaders, scammers, or sob's.
6% are actually legit. and 4% joined just because, but will scam if the deal is good enough.
And these numbers are a pretty good estimate.. Just look how many people join, and IMMEDIATLY go "Sell" or "buy" something.

Im going to stop writing now, or ill be up for hours writing basically an essay.

 

I laughed so much its crazy. Anyways I agree with Blue Summer In my time looking at this site even before making this account. Iv seen the most active section is the Report a Scammer and Report a Spammer Sections. Now thats just sad.

 

100% Agreed. I'm not perfect but i do consider myself to be an honest person. Vouches, Post Count, and Join Date are everything if your in the trading market. A few months back while i still had my old sythe account i met someone with a decent post count and join date, we were doing a trade, on msn he sent me a pic...me being an honest person and figuring him to be an honest person to, thought nothing of it and opened it. KEYLOGGER. Took me sythe account and took advantage of my reputation, scammed many innocent people, got my account banned. At the end of the day who lost...me.

Now im stuck on this new sythe account, barely trusted by anyone because of my post count and join date. I'm not even that frequently on sythe. I stop by, do what i go to do, then im off. Might make a couple posts one every month or so.

Aside from the people outside the trading market, a majority of sythes community is shit.

However...it is refreshing to know that people such as X9 are willing to take suggestions on how to improve.

Your point is somewhat agreeable, let me explain with my opinion of the whole situation...

I believe that the administration and staff could do a much better job if they at least tried to help those who've been scammed. It's completely understandable that they need to maintain the forum and keep it up and that sort of stuff but they need to focus more on those who've gotten scammed and lost money, especially those who've lost real-life money that they've earned themselves and the money that had been taken away from them. Your scam report post really changed my point of view of the staff here at Sythe; simply careless. Like I said, it's understandable that most of the staff here are pretty young and have other things to worry about such as school or their social life but it's there responsibility to look after those who've lost money or things that they've earned themselves. They need to fulfill that responsibility, as they are staff and part of the administration and when they got accepted into the administration they accepted the fact that they're going to be responsible for many things, but it's easier said than done. If they cannot handle the fact that they have a responsibility then that specific person doesn't deserve the position that they've been assigned to.

I'm not pointing any fingers whatsoever but I'm just giving an example and my opinion of the fact that staff simply just glance at a victim's thread and simply move it into the archive without doing or helping a bit. As staff they must set a good example for others and give them a good example about what this community and it's administration is about and right now they aren't setting a very good example in my personal opinion. People look up to the staff and administration. With the staff setting a bad example the members are going to leave or post threads with their complaints about this community and those who lead it, this thread as a prime example. I've seen many others but I decided to finally post in one of them and I've chosen this one.

Blue Summer, I'm truly sorry for your loss and I hope you find a way to somehow recover the money you've lost. As for the staff, we members look up to you, respect you, trust you, and you treat us members like dirt? Like we're unimportant? That's simply not fair. We require and deserve equal respect as well. Regardless whether or not a person's staff or a normal member, we're all humans. We must help each other and lend a helping hand once in a while. Imagine if you were in Blue's shoes, how would you feel if nobody responded and didn't take the time to post and ban the scammer that has taken your hard-earned money? Most of us would feel really bad like as if we were betrayed by those we've looked up to and respected, therefore causing a member to leave.

You might say, "Oh, we've got thousands of other users, who really cares if this certain member leaves?". Well, if you continue like this you'll be no longer left with many members. It's time to stand up and lend a helping hand before it's too late for this community.

The staff are doing a fine job without you complaining about it. The fact that they are busy, could mean that we are doing something else that will benefit the community. Here's an idea, actually do what you're supposed to do with your reports and then maybe, just maybe we'll take a look. more than half of them are chat logs anyway.

Here's a solution, don't trade with anyone you're suspicious of. Always use a MM. Simple.

And I can write a novel on the crap you people say that in no way helps this forum and yet you continue to complain about it. If you don't like it, why not return to your forum full of people wanting to scam?

People come here for the black market. That's the attraction. They want to buy or sell something that runescape won't allow them to in their game or on their forum. Basically "cheating", note the site slogan.

If you have a problem with this site, and yet do absolutely NOTHING to help it get better, then you have no right to complain. I don't see you out there stopping scammers. Why don't you try middlemanning? Now stop whining and actually DO SOMETHING to prevent exactly what it is that you're complaining about.
