Sythe has a really shitty community.

I'm just here to say, that by peering over this forum over a long time, I'm led to conclude that the majority of this forum is a bunch of scamming, lying, good-for-nothing pricks. I came here in attempt to sell gold, so I presented myself in an honest manor and did what I had to do. I sold hundreds of millions of Gold and have met a lot of people, and read a lot of posts.

After my short stay here, all I can really say is this community is shit. Everyone treats each other like shit. People look at each others post counts and decide the level of respect they should pay them. Anyone with under 100 posts is labeled a fucking scamming retarded noob, and anyone with over 800 posts is deemed a God and respected spammer of the forum.

Since the only way to make sales/etc. is to be trusty, majority of the people decide to SPAM in order to raise their post count and look a little more respectful. This, in return, leads to a shitty forum. You have spammy little pricks commenting on every little thing trying to earn post count, and then the 5-6 people who post afterwsrds saying NOT to spam and raise you're post count.

With that being said, I've really only ran into 2-3 decent people on the forum (Other than Staff, which we will get to). All of these people, have under 200 post count. I'm thankful I've met these people, because they turned out to be cool guys who are really nice and mature.


On the staff note, what I'm seeing, is everyone is ignorant. I can understand though, because if I were a moderator on such an active forum flooded by spamming, flaming, scamming, liars I would slit my own wrists. I can't really blame you, but a lot of staff I've met is pretty stuck up. But as I can't stress enough, you're dealing with a bunch of fuckwits.

I'd also like to point out the fact that my reported user thread was simply read and archived, no questions asked. I lost my gold, and he keeps his reputation. I honestly and sincerely hope this guy becomes a fluent scammer and puts yet another hole in this community. The fact that it was pretty solid evidence and the fact that I STILL have his msn conversation open (after having reported him like 6 days ago) is pretty much enough to leave me to believe nobody really gives a shit.

But in all due respect, and aside from the extremely horrible community attitude, there are still a lot of smart, decent people who frequent the forum. Like I said I came, I sold, I left. I didn't get to meet the rest of you, but you're whats keeping this forums heart barely beating. I know that the staff & administrators work hard to keep this forum at its tip top shape, but you really need to crack down on the retards and scammers. To be perfectly honest, if someone posts "yo guyse this duude her scammd me for 4 mills when i sell pin dont tradee", there should be some sort of punishment. Unless this is your second week on the computer, there is absolutely no reason why you should talk like a moron.

Another thing I'd like to add in quick, is having the forum member-only viewed. Unless this had been debated, I hate how pretty much anyone can roam the forums without being registered. Atleast you can filter the members A LITTLE bit, such as if someone keeps registering a new name or something... Which they don't have to do, they can just roam the forums at random and find MSN's to scam and shit.

I read your full post, and understand what you mean.

You just have to learn how to avoid scammers, which is real easy to me since I am trusted and do not have to go first. Post count means nothing to me, so if a retarded guru asks me to go first I simply say no.

As for the scam report, the moderator who read it probably saw the chat log and just ignored it, even though there was some good evidence in it.

In this community you have to get scammed, get trusted, then you don't have to go first, which makes it a lot better. (Still watch out for scams though, even if they go first)

[EDIT] Basically, never go first (use trusted MM that won't scam for pixels, aka me ) and when the other person goes first be careful.

 

No, this is not true. If you spend your time in the black market, you may find this true, but if you explore the other forums, like SFA, and coding forums, you might find alot more fun things. And I am NOT A GOD, just because I have 800 + post count, and I cant imagine anyone trusting someone due to a high Postcount....

Idiots judge just by post count. You have to "judge" people by join date, and VALUE of vouches, not numbers.

 

That is true, I only really dealt around the market and never bothered to be assed around in the other forums, as I wasn't here to make friends, was here to make money.

Which makes this place shitty, because everyone feels the need to spam as opposed to post well thought-out posts now and then... Not this 60 posts-per-day bullshit.

I remember reading on this site 2-3 years ago... A middleman who was MMing a Blue Phat trade and ran off.

with over a year of mming experience, most of the people i meet in trades, or mm's, are scammers.

 

It does have a shitty community, but its the only place I've found to RWT . I've tried some other sites, but they are practically empty so I have to keep coming back to Sythe.

I don't know what happened with your report thread because both of the times I got scammed, I reported them and they got banned.

You will find scammers everywhere. We are human, and most people would scam if there was like 2b hanging there that they could easily take then sell for A LOT of money.
