The difference between Questing, Pleveling and advertesing is the difference between tennis and mathematics.
Wrong. In questing a quester could just wipe the client's account, after getting paid (or even before), and when the client accuses him or puts more stuff in, the quester continues to do so. The client would not be able to provide any proof, it would be difficult to do so. So yes, it is similar. They all have a risk.
Ahh. I see. I guess that actually makes it more interesting. The amount of proof needed would be extreme, and these people don't stake themselves because of PID or something?
No, because not everyone has access to a maxed account. Read through the
whole thread to see how someone can boot off a user from their account, that is way riskier. Not to mention it makes transferring easier and hassle free for the person using the service.
Also it is an investment. You are investing your money into a person because you feel they have a higher chance of success, no?
It's not an investment, it's a gamble. The stake is often close to 50/50 in most cases. Not sure where you're getting people have a higher chance of success when using another person's service. Unless, the client doesn't style switch, then that increases their chances a bit. But even then, 90% of the stakers you duel in the DA switches between styles, so it just evens the odds a bit.
It differs from other forms of investment as there is no risk on the part of the person being invested into(the person offering the service), but it's still essentially exactly the same risk as those gp investers for the person giving the money. It's all down to the motive of the person offering the service. Sure, if they never lose, I'm sure they'd be less likely to scam.
Read the above, it's not an investment. There is always a risk, and the stakes are around 50%. And as I said, not everyone knows how to style switch, nor does everyone do it. Not everyone has an access to a maxed account to box. It's riskier to rent.
The only difference is that it's a guaranteed method of making money for the person offering the service, they have no risk at all. They gamble other peoples money, risk-free.
With trust comes a price. It's up to the people to decide to use them or not, if you don't use them, then you're not affected. If this is coming from jealousy because of the easy money, think again as you don't always get stakes nor do you always win it.
They'd be a tonne of people pretending they had good PID, or glitches for 100% win just to get people to invest in them.
Where does anyone even say that? If the person is vidding...? You are bringing up no argument to the table at all. If the person doesn't want to believe they have good PID, they do boxing. Most of the stakes are boxes, and PID increases your chances of winning next to 0. Where are you getting glitches? If there's a glitch, only an idiot would believe a staker that there's a glitch, and expect free GP when the staker could do it himself. It's not a risk free investment, it's a gamble.
I'm not going to bother answering the last 2 paragraphs, look for the answer in this post.
