    Sounds like there's an underlying issue such as degenerative eye disease as opposed to just staring at a computer screen. One doesn't go legally blind just starting at a computer screen.

    I also think this. Myself and millions of other nerds stare at screens constantly and have great vision. I spend 12 hrs+ a day staring.

    There's a point where laser eye surgery cannot correct your vision, so you'd have to be above that threshold to even consider it.
    That said, it's a fast moving industry and in 5 years they could have some new solution for bad eyesight, stay hopeful, some people can't see anything :)
