Skype Link in Postbit

Not sure if it's been suggested before, but with the XenForo changes, I feel like this could be implemented. It'd stop very many impostors and adds a direct match from Sythe account to Skype ID, making reporting people via Skype easier. Here's how it'd look like:

If it's in your signature, why would you need it in your post bit? I don't really find this a necessity.

 

If I remember correctly we had this when sythe was using vbulletin. Support since it makes it easier for people to add your skype.

 

Because various people can still be approached/stumble across those impersonating others by using copy/paste from their signature. Like for example; I search up your Skype via copy and paste, more than one possible Skype will be matched.

This way it'll be a direct search/add and prevent impersonations.

 

Don't see a reason for this to be denied, just create a feature request

But there's already that hatscripts site that provides direct links to Skype, no? My skype button directly adds my profile.

Except this would be directly Sythe related without a sketchy side website. There is already BBCode @Matthew wrote that can be easily implemented into the button.

Was going to say the same as Pure addiction, you dont have control on those sketchy websites. this suggestion just makes it easier and more secure.

 

How about also making it something staff (administrators) need to approve, much like the user title function? This would also prevent people from hacking profiles and temporarily changing the Skype listed in the postbit.
