When I try to paste vouches into my vouch page (I click copy, ctrl+c, go to vouch page hit edit and ctrl+v) my browser crashes. Any ideas as to why? I've tried clearing cache as well.

Have you tried another browser?

Also it's perfectly valid to make a new vouch thread and link to your previous vouch thread in it if it gets too long.

 

I'm aware that there are email problems.

We are being spammed with incoming spam and unfortunately mailgun sends those out the same IP it sends outgoing mail. Result is that we keep getting throttled by users' email providers.

I'm trying to do something about it now.

 

There seem to be some caching issues going on with the site. Searching for "New Posts" at the top sometimes doesn't display the correct list of the actual newest posts or will display this, even when there have been new unread threads:

Also, randomly refreshing the front page will show a different snapshot where the latest posts are hours old.

I think Sythe in general is having Cache issues, threads seem to be loading funny/slow.

Might just be your internet connection, have you tried resetting your router

 

We had some latency issues with a couple of the servers today. Should be back to normal now.

I like keeping all of my vouches in one thread, but a new browser did the trick. Any idea why Chrome would crash on a paste into the edit? Cheers! ^_^

 

Email issues are being sorted out today

 

OK so an update on the email situation:

We've made some complicated changes to the way email is sent and received, however email reputation damage takes time to repair. At the moment gmail and other services are selectively turning away mail from us. We can do very little about this in the short term. Long term the situation will correct itself since we've made these changes.

Their policy tends toward accepting a single message from us which you will get, for example "Your Login Details" with the link to reset your password. However they don't accept a followup message containing your password.

As I can't directly correct this I've modified the password recovery system to display your new temporary password on screen after you click the recovery link and successfully solve the captcha.

 

An error I'm getting with a certain thread, whenever I try to create a spoiler, it messes up and creates 2 spoilers instead of 1.

This was happening to me a few weeks ago, wasnt able to paste in my vouches had to manually type them letter by letter, it randomly sorted itself out, didnt change any settings myself and it started working again

Yep mine are randomly working as well now.

 

Some peoples' vouches post in their vouches thread are getting too long for modern browsers to handle when edited (like chrome for example).

If you are having this problem you can PM me and I will split the first post of your vouches thread into two posts (with all your existing vouches in the second post) so you can continue to edit the first post without crashing your browser.
