Honestly anyone who says yes is a complete idiot. You are just asking to give up freedoms one by one. I remember when I was little and they had see-saws and high swings and merry-go-rounds, etc at parks.
Some kid was hurt on this or some idiot was killed on that, LETS BAN THOSE SINCE IT HURT/KILLED SOMEONE.
Like fck off. Alcohol is awesome. Should we ban razor blades? People can slit their wrists with them. Should we ban cars? Those have killed a few.
Irritates me.
Edit: Anyone present me with good reasons to ban alcohol and I'll pick them apart and give you a 100% logical reason why your reasons SUCK.
Actually, as much as I agree that it shouldn't be banned, your reasons are the ones that "SUCK".
That is a completely redundant point and for some this is completely untrue. In my opinion, Alcohol is the scrooge of late-night society in many cases, but I am willing to allow others to drink it if they like - it's their choice. Despite this, Reason #1 sucks.

You're basically taking one argument and taking it completely out of context. Alcohol is far different that a merry-go-round. Merry-go-rounds don't inherently affect people unless there is an unexpected occurrence which causes injury, or death. While people can allow their children on merry-go-rounds KNOWING it CAN cause Injury etc., the risk is minuscule, and if people are going to worry about simple things which aren't inherently CAUSING an injury, they may as well sit inside a bubble all day. Don't cross roads, because somebody might be speeding or your ears may deceive you, and then you'll get hit by a car and die. We still cross roads.
Alcohol, however, is a guaranteed, confirmed, documented cause of health problems and death. Your analogy is broken.
Should we ban razor blades? People can slit their wrists with them.
People choose to slit their wrists with the razor blades, and they aren't sold with the purpose of doing so. If this reasoning is to be right on why alcohol shouldn't be banned, then nothing should be sold in case it's used in the wrong way and causes injury/death.
Should we ban cars? Those have killed a few.
Another pointless 'reason' to defend alcohol. Suggesting that death by Alcohol is even comparable to being hit by a car is completely absurd, because once again people don't CHOOSE to be hit by cars, and cars aren't sold with the purpose of running people over. In the majority of cases, people hit by cars are hit by accident. Alcohol comes with the risks it has, but these two things are in no way relatable.
Anyone present me with good reasons to ban alcohol and I'll pick them apart and give you a 100% logical reason why your reasons SUCK.
Go ahead, if you like, but then I'll do the exact same back knowing your reasoning is completely bigoted and one-sided in favor of alcohol. As I said at the start, I don't believe alcohol should be banned, but for completely different, VALID reasons in comparison to yours. Make sure when you respond your argument isn't made out of straw.
