There's no proof that we aren't, but I sincerely doubt the whole worlds population is going to be annihilated in the year 2012, no.

 

Learn the story before posting. It's not 'some random person' - It's when the Mayan calendar ends, December 21, 2012. That happened hundreds and hundreds of years ago.

 

No. Nothing will happen in 2012. The only reason that anyone thinks that is because of some ancient civilization that stopped projecting its calendar forward. Does that have an effect upon the modern world? No. It's madness to think it does.

 

no we wont there was also sum bullshit story about in 2000 involving the birth of christ and we would all die 2000 years after jesus was born but because of the callenders and how they fucked up making them we would have died a few years before

Nostradamus was a fraud. The facile interpretations of his quatrains are what allowed people to claim his veracity.

If you disagree, can you logically show how a human being, an amalgamation of cells and chemical processes, can see into the future with certainty?

 

did we die in the year 2000? nope...
did we die on 6/6/06? nah, we all lived...
are we going to die in the year 2012? think about it m8. think about all the past predictions and the outcome of em. if u wanna run and hide in the year 2012, go ahead, i dont think you'll be missed if your inteligent enough to beleive things like that not thinking about past predictions.

Planet X or what the Summerians called "Nibiru" will come between earth and the sun on dec. 21st 2012 and the earth will stop spinning for 3 days in which there will be massive tsunamis, earth quakes, volcano eruptions and 300 mph winds world wide. 90 percent of the population will die and from those who do survive most will die of starvation.

I really don't think it will happen. Look what they said would happen in the year 2000, did any of that happen? No. So there is nothing really given that can prove that this will happen for sure or not.

Also, a planet? Where? Why have we heard nothing? Why would a planet make the Earth, an object of hundreds of trillions of tons, stop rotating? How would that physically occur? And why would all those other horrible things happen?
